Rivermark has quickly declined since the merger.
I opened a business and personal account almost two years ago. After the merger, every time I went to the Gresham branch to deposit a check, I was told to wait while they obtained approval. After a couple of times of having to wait for a check to be deposited (Sometimes 10-15min), I asked why I was having to wait every single time. I was informed that my personal account had gone negative, and it was affecting my business account. No one told me about this UNTIL I ASKED. After I was informed, I paid the negative balance on my personal account and then closed it out, only leaving my business account to remain.
Over the following couple of months, every time I went to deposit a check, I was told to wait for approval, yet again. On the third time, I informed the teller that I had resolved the issue a month previous and required the notice to be removed so I could return to a smooth experience. Every teller told me that the notice would be removed. During my last deposit, when I was told to wait for approval, I informed the teller that if the unnecessary notice was not removed from my account by my next visit, I would be closing the account. That was over a week ago now.
Today, I was informed to wait for approval again. So, I told the teller to close the business account.
Your member's time is valuable. In a way, you should value your members' time over your own. The only reason this is an institution at all is because of the members that Rivermark has continuously proven not to care about.
Since the merger, Rivermark hires general managers who informed me directly that it was her second week and that she hasnt had any training yet. How can you manage a place, yet have no idea how to do your job, or the job of your subordinates?
If you've read this far, stay FAR away from Rivermark. Your time will NOT be respected.

The absolute worst company to lend a car through!!!! They let you make your payment and then send the tow truck to your house to reposes the vehicle dirty dirty dirty business at this point they can keep the car!

After the merger they had, they've gone down hill fast , poor customer service, theyve denied 3 scam charges on my card , made me get a new card for no reason . So now im out money from a scam and had to go change everything that was linked to my card . They have royally screwed me over. . Do not get an account there

There's a reason why the reviews are horrible. All I want to do is open an account. Told I don't need an appointment but yet I have to wait to make an appointment when I walk in? Don't talk down to people and treat them like they are less than. Luckily I know it's just this location that sucks and not Rivermark itself.

Thank you Holly for making the loan application process fast and easy! Service like this is why I recommend Rivermark. In the 10+ years I’ve banked with Rivermark I have never had a negative thing to say. I do not make comments like this lightly after working in banking.
