I walked into the store and as soon as you pass the security guy there was literal DOG POOP (or human because it is Gresham after all), and it had clearly been there for a while and stepped in already. No one cared, no one bothered to clean it. Absolutely disgusting and I will never go to this Safeway EVER again. It's a shame... most Safeways in Portland are just gross.
I went to a Safeway in Wyoming during a road trip and it was the best Safeway I had ever been to. Clearly the city is so far gone even the businesses don't care.

Slowest Safeway I've ever been to hands down. Constantly down at least 2 self checkouts and only 2 cashiers that take forever.

We usually love coming to this Safeway having just moved to this area. Unfortunately tonight we had a situation with one of the cashiers cursing at us and getting very frustrated over his own mistake. We were trying to use a BottleDrop refund and instead of explaining how it works, when we asked he went from 0-100 and became very pissed. I’ve worked for customer service for a long time as an employee, a manager and a general manager and this is not a behavior that should be condoned. I hope that everyone else a better experience as we were hurt and baffled by the way we were spoken too.

Half of my order that I paid for was missing from my pickup order. Ridiculous! Several items that the employee who "fulfilled" my pickup order said were out of stock were actually in stock when I went in the same store to look. But because it was a buy minimum of 4 of 4 items to get sale price and only 3 were available I had to pay full price on my pickup order even though the error was on the Safeway employee at this location in Gresham. Never shopping this location again! Awful customer service! And now I get to wait 3-5 business days for a refund on the items they never gave me that they charged me for. Well worth it to drive to Sandy or Damascus for good customer service.

Self checkout is closed and 2 lanes open with long wait times. If theft is an issue hire better security and don’t let the shoppers suffer for your mistake. Safeway on 181st and Powell did the same and it’s a nightmare.

I’ve recently had an injury that makes it difficult to walk. While using the scooter to shop, it died in the middle of the isle. I started walking using my cane as tears ran down my face, “Tim” saw me and when I explained what happened, he went across the store to get me another scooter that worked. Very kind and helpful making sure that I was okay above all. I got to the register and was having trouble getting my cart up to the register. “Christina” came out from behind and calmed me down as I was hurting so bad I was crying. She was super kind and helpful even unloading all my groceries. She then called a young man “Jayden Love” over to assist sacking my groceries. Kindness was overwhelming, which again made me cry. “Jayden” then escorted me to my car and loaded all 11 bags of groceries into my car. He offered several times to help me get in my car too. Overall experience was amazing. In a world where people just don’t seem to care or don’t want to help, I was impressed beyond words by the kindness of these 3 associates. Please be sure to pass along my gratitude and praise for going above and beyond! They will never be forgotten by myself or my Granddaughter! Bravo to you all!

Terrible customer service on the phone. Disabled person just calling to find out whether they had some soup available, management didn't answer, sent back the phone tree, pressed bakery and someone scolded me for pressing that number rather than simply forwarding me to somebody who could help. Laziness.
