I had an unpleasant initial experience with the in store sales associate and the truck did break down but the problems I raised to the location were addressed and I felt that the manager who called me to see what happened genuinely wanted to improve and that is why I'm editing my reviewLots of people have had good experiences with this location, I did not, but that doesn't mean yours won't be goodI had an initial financial dispute going on with the holding fee but it was settled and ended up being exactly what I thought it was going to be despite all the confusion

The van was clean, ready to go and easy to handle. The mobile pickup process did not go well. Ahead of the pickup time, I had set up an account and entered my driver's license number. While at the U-Haul lot, the app still required a lot more. It would have been better to enter ID photos and the additional contact's information before picking up the van. That said, your employee, Wesley, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient in getting us on the road. The mobile check-out process was great.

I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A U HAUL TRUCK!!! Roughly 6pm 11/29/23. I went to cross hogan st on the crosswalk, legally. When a driver almost hit me by crossing a red light.I immediately went to the store to report this. I even started saying I didn't want to seem like a Karen but I felt that ALMOST GETTING HIT FULL SPEED warrants a report to staff. This lady who came in was FULL OF HERSELF.. immediately came in on the offensive to blame me... NOT ONCE offering an apology or putting any accountability on her recklessness. Then called ME a Karen for calling out her careless actionsShe claims she went through a yellow. I don't believe her.. i think she tried to speed through a yellow unsafely at the last second before it turned red.. Because theres no way she should've been on that part of the road during a yellow with the timing of the cross walk. I started crossing several seconds after the crosswalk gave me right of way. Seconds sounds miniscule but on the roadway that means all cars should've either well passed before I started to cross or she should've stopped well before any pedestrians start to cross. Traffic light/ cross walk times arent arbitrary they account for safe timings if drivers follow the law!! However her almost hitting me leads me to think she is lyingShe claims I was on my phone the whole time and not looking. I put my phone down immediately when the crosswalk gave me right of way to cross then she honked and zoomed by to almost hit me. I even started to cross a little bit after it gave me the signal. Well enough time for law abiding drivers to have stopped for a yellow/red. As legally drivers are supposed to slow and stop for yellows not rry to beat it like a game. She insisted she didn't have time to deal with a person she almost RAN OVER and didn't apologize or admit fault. She kept trying to ignore me and talk to the employee behind the counter. We both argued but I was over it at this point. so I left because this entitled karen made me so angry.I just want to report this incident with U Haul. So U haul knows the truth on what happened with an angry pedestrian and that monster of a woman. Now I do want to apologize to everyone for using a small amount crass sharp worded insults. I was understandably heated and riled up by arguing with a person that nearly drove me over and refuses to admit any fault whatsoever. Now a word to this awful lady, whomever you are. I want you to reflect that you know you lied to me and that u haul employee behind the counter.. All you did was cover up for your faults. Even if you think you're 100% correct you should've apologized. Also God damn. Your son calls a random stranger a fagg*t three times and you let him do it. No reprimands you just let your child yell at strangers? No wonder you don't take accountability because your son has none!!! The nerve of a child calling strangers a fat fagg*t when he's an equally obese child with a mother that let's her child spew bad words. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Thats Just pathetic. Hes going to grow up like his irresponsible mother. I'll own up and admit I said things I shouldn't have but least I apologized after I left and now. Unlike mother and son who have zero integrity. Shame on you. Please tell the guy who worked behind the counter im sorry he had to witness this scene. However my 1 star rating will still stand as while I feel bad about the whole thing. The guy just stood there not once trying to intervene or interject while me and that lady argued. I know full well companies don't want arguments in stores. Yet you stood there not trying to diffuse the situation.Overall a bad night at u haul

I enjoy the good attitudes of most of the employees. They are all willing to help and assist with your moving details and pretty much any type of moving truck to van they have it all and also will set up your vehicle to tow. They are just your one stop place for any type of moving that you may need. Been a customer going on 3 years now.

While I was able to complete my move, the experience wasn't good. The cargo van we received had a back rear door sensor broken, so the entire time I was driving I was getting a message on the dashboard panel that the back rear door was open. I went inside to tell someone this before I drove the van away, and he told me that they knew the sensor was broken and not to worry about it.When I'm in an unfamiliar vehicle, this is unsettling, especially when I have a cargo van full of personal items. The sensor is there to tell you if you didn't close the door properly, and if it's always on, there's no way to know if it's secure or not, or if another door is potentially open, or if there is another issue that may need to be displayed. I understand everyone is very busy, and when someone who works there sees this sensor or hears about it multiple times, it's easy to say that Uhaul knows about it and not to worry and then continue to the next customer. However, for the one time that I'll be using that particular van, getting used to everything about it that is different than driving my car, it made me uneasy the whole weekend I rented it.The cab of the van was also very dirty - there were grease stains from food on anything you would touch in the van (steering wheel, radio controls, cupholder area, seats, etc), but the app would only let me upload one picture of them, however I needed multiple pictures close up to capture the extent of the grime. This was the only remaining cargo van that day, so despite the sensor issue and then cleanliness, I couldn't really do much about it except buy some wipes, clean the van, slam the back door to make sure it was closed, and finish moving.I would hope that this experience wasn't standard of this particular location, but when reading reviews for this location both the backdoor sensor and cleanliness are listed in others' reviews, so it appears to be an ongoing issue that I hope is addressed soon.

It was ok..one employee was very rude and claimed he couldn't mentally handle helping us that we had to ask someone else. Kinda weird we thought. Other employees very helpful. Other then we had to wait for assistance to get in and out of the gate. They were very short staffed.

So we rented a van and a appliances dolly. Moving a washer and dryer we needed to be able to wheel the dolly into the truck. When we did we found that the dolly was taller then the inside of the truck. Would have been helpful to know that the dolly wouldn't fit inside standing up. So I informed them. They're also was a problem about the back door saying it was open. So i was worried about it the whole time. That it could fly open or that uhaul would charge us for it. To find out apon drop off that this van has been doing that. Maybe let customers know these things before they drive off with it. I did not have the best experience this time. Wish we would have been recommended the bigger vehicle being as we were using a appliance dolly. My fiance drove and there was also less gas in the tank then it said there was. And we put in more then we used and they were gunna charge us extra but they did end up waving that. So that was nice at least but still, Just missed the mark a bit there guys.

I arrived at this location to get propane just behind another young man, probably in his 20's. We both parked and got our tanks out. He walked up to the station and pushed the bell that is there to alert the staff that someone is outside waiting for propane. I dont know how many times he pushed the button but he only pushed it a few seconds so it couldnt have been more than about 4 times, maybe less. About two minutes later a large Uhaul employee (name tag) Joel, walked out obviously upset about something, took a huge swing and smashed the bell button, knocking it off the wall and with his finger pointed in the young guys face yelled threateningly at him that he only needs to push the bell twice not 30 times!! Then he picked up the bell button off the ground and took it back into the store. He came back a few minutes later and pumped the young guys propane an collected the money. The young guy left and he then pumped my propane. While pumping my propane he said. Sorry im a little cranky but that guy just kept ringing that bell in my ear and im tired of it. I said, "you must be having a bad day" He said nope, good day im going home soon. What amazingly awful service. Terrible attitude. Not trained or disciplined well or he would not think he could get away with that. Very sad. Hopefully the management agrees and will retrain this guy or redirect his career to someplace he doesnt deal with people.
