These guys are truly amazing, friendly, helpful and professional. I owe them so much for helping me get to where I am financially, and I could not have done it without them. I have had other credit unions and also big chain banks and they never did anything to help me in the ways Embold has over the many years. If you are looking for a forever banking/finance solution, this is where you want to be. They are all friendly, and I owe so much to these people. Thank you sincerely Embold and staff!

The staff are kind, helpful, and professional. The branches make you feel like a guest rather than just a customer. After 20 years at a big bank where all I got was fees and mediocre service, being able to make money on my money and be treated like a valued member at Embold is a nice change of pace.

Really disappointed after jumping through all the hoops to get an account here. Tried to open an account for the first time after some aggressive identity theft by a family member with a hefty check to know I’m serious even though the rates aren’t the best around, I saw they advertised to give about anyone an account. Instead I’m treated like a criminal or something and can only open an account with extreme restrictions for a year “so they can gain my trust” ummmm I’m putting all my money in your bank and you don’t trust ME!?!? But I was willing to do it if I had to thinking it was my only option after being turned away from a handful of other banks over the past few years. And the few times I was in to make my attempts for a new account the branch manager I was working with never introduced herself and I brought my 4 month old with me and he was totally ignored even though he was on my lap and being quiet and so well behaved. It was strange. Anyway, I went up the road to US Bank and what a difference!! No hoops to jump through and was treated like total royalty (the accounts agent AND tellers introduced themselves and were so friendly) especially after they saw I trusted them with MY money. I was really hopeful for a different experience at Embold and was almost convinced they wanted to help me. I was desperate for my fresh start but now relieved that it didn’t work out after seeing the reviews and after having my experiences there.

I've been a long time member, My father took me into the Oregon City branch to help get me set up with the credit union. Better benefits with a credit union, not as commercialized and they honestly seemed to care about my finances and financial affairs. Through out the past 20 years, Clackamas Federal Credit Union was there for me, helping me purchase a couple of motorcycles, my first car, a 1999 Honda Accord, purchased in 2004, more then likely, will be passed on to my son, as his first car. My next purchase was a 97 jeep cherokee sport, my all in one vehicle, was nice to drive around town, plus my hunting, fishing and camping rig. I sold the jeep, to buy a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500, came home from my second deployment, a farmer had it sitting next to the road, I saw it, I wanted it. The two motorcycles 03 Honda VTX 1800 and 03 Indian Roadmaster Chief, All of these purchases I worked with various loan agents, they helped with letting me know what the blue book was and letting me know, what they would finance. The car lot where I purchased the Honda and Jeep and the dealership of the motorcycles, all said the same thing, next time, let us make money off of you. Kudos to CFCU. Fast forward to when the world turned upside down, still have the honda, is/was my daily driver, and the Dodge is my hunting, fishing, camping rig. The dodge has the long bed, with the crew cab, 4X4, 10 cylinder, with the 5 speed stick and runs on gasoline. I've only put 20,000 miles on the truck in 13 years of driving it. Then the bad news. The Dodge had 3 broken piston, talked about putting a diesel in it, getting a new/used motor or just fixing the pistons with new parts. This all happened around Nov/Dec of 2022. I turned to the bank, whom still I was financing through. December was tough, not having a job, due to some silly illness, that has turned out to be a very interesting subject, but we dare not talk about it. But its affected me and leaving me unemployed. I do have some part time gigs being a sports official and the majority of my funds come from Veterans Benefits. Now comes the past 6 to 8 months, starting about the time, this name change came about. I had no where to turn but to the bank, I didn't want to loose my truck. Putting in some time, thinking and talking, I shared a plan with the loan agent and too my surprise, it was too be. The loan specialist, said there were many factors, but because I was a good client and not many issues up front, my credit score was ok, but I had laid out 3 or 4 things, that I needed to make this happen, the bank agreed, I was able to pay the $7,000 to get my truck done, with refinancing on the truck that keeps seeming to go up in value, the truck and the loan. With affordable payments, auto payments to be taken out the first of the month, and I wanted my other personal loan paid off, a 12-12-12 loan, the loan agent said she'd never seen anything like the sort. Underwriters agreed to my terms. This being January. Febuary payments were to start, I agreed. Knowing that finances were going to be tight, and with the assistance of Clackamas Federal Credit Union, my finance were going to be staying in order, I was thinking of purchasing another car, but refrained due to the high cost of maintenance on the truck and not enough money to put down on a newer car. There were other episodes with other financial institutions that the bank helped me buy out their loans, to come back to a warm and friendly environment with Clackamas Federal CU. I was going to be a happy camper again, but then the cards got reshuffled. My first payment came out the end of April, 3 months after the original starting date, and the payments were twice as much. So when it rains it pours, Insurance was due to renew, and when I went to pay for the insurance, to my surprise, a large sum of money had been taken from my account, with no acknowledgement, along with a high finance rate and the insurance to cover the loan, not the vehicle, the loan, so payments were now 3 and 4 times as much. Not taken out near the first of the month,

not sure what location Ashley is at but she is the only one I will work with over the phone. Ashley has gone above and beyond to work with me in the crazy times and it's beyond patient. Ashley is also the ONLY employee who has respected my preferred name when calling me and any interaction with me and for me that means the world. so thank you Ashley for being great!

Sense taken over for clackamas nothing but disrespect. Unwilling to answer the phone or do their job. But demand so much over emails. Unfortunately will never do business with them again.

Ive been helping to pay my moms rent which knocked me off track by one months payment on my auto loan. They told me they don’t report past due payments to credit bureaus until it’s 60 days past due, making me believe I had more time to get the one past due payment caught up. I was just informed that they misinformed me and it’s 30 days. I could have told my mom no and made the payments on time, but thought there was some flexibility and now because the employees aren’t all on the same page about policies, I’m afraid to even look at my credit score. I’ll be getting financed through another credit union as soon as I can because I’ve had nothing but issues with this place from the start.

Services sucks. Can't make payments online because their system is garbage. It supposed to deposit a small amount into your bank to verify but it doesn't. Other options is to add money to their "online balance" SORRY can't do that either.Only way to make a payment is through the phone and pay additional fee, or go to branch location and pay cash.

Management has shown how little they care about members as they spend all this money to change the name, relocate buildings, and whatever we don't know about. You like the name? Was it worth it? Digital banking may not work as they reconstruct site. Fellow members describe it as stupid. I say it is not fiscal responsibility.
