A nice worker named Lily made me feel very comfortable and secure while purchasing my items, gave me a 10% discount for signing up and she helped me with everything!!! Will definitely come to hot topic again if I know Lily will be there!

I went in not too long ago and the service was great up until the end while I was checking out. I don’t usually ever go into hot topic but I wanted to for a special occasion. I asked the workers there for some help and they were great at giving their advice and help. Although I didn’t quite find what I was looking for, that’s okay, they did great helping me. I decided I’ll land on a single pair of earrings and check out. As I’m checking out, the person at the counter asked me to put in my phone number for points, I did, I didn’t have an account so they asked if I’d like to sign up, I politely declined as I’m not a frequent shopper there and have no use for it. They asked again if I’m sure, I’ll get bday points and a free gift etc etc just trying to sell me up. I politely decline once again. They proceed to pressure me into signing up telling me that when they can’t put food on the table they’ll tell their child it was my fault. I laugh uncomfortably, as I think this is sarcastic banter but as I laugh they tell me “no seriously this is how we get graded” I stop my laughing and go quiet. Such an uncomfortable situation and it made me feel like I don’t even want to continue with the purchase anymore. I did, but I really wish I hadn’t. Just completely unprofessional whether or not this interaction was serious or not. The other people helping in the store were great but this was just an odd no feel good situation.

It's a hot topic. You get what you expect. I had time to burn at the Clackamas center and bought my wife and kiddo a few cool things ?. Lots of pop culture I no longer understand HAH

I got there, as I walked in I was pushed out was told there was an emergency and to come back in a few minutes
So I left. Came back 15 minutes later. Now note on door saying at lunch will return soon. It's been over an hour. There are others waiting also. I usually don't complain but this is crazy. My transaction would have taken five minutes. How much longer.

The crew is always so sweet and welcoming. This location tends to be less popular than Washington square. So if Washington square doesn't have the item, Clackamas will.
