We decided to surrender two of our cats because they're outdoor cats, and even though theyre great with people (kids too!), they were being too aggressive toward other cats. We tried rehoming them, so this was our last resort. The woman who took their information and got them settled was very kind, and she kept calm even though the moment that place opened, the phone went crazy and the parking lot filled up. I hope Bandit (NM) and Shadow (SF) find a new place to hunt critters and give loves to their peeps.

Glad our town has this service but it's turning into a "for-profit" style business. Let's say you are in an accident and In the hospital for a week...they're gonna turn around and sell your beloved animal back to you or if you can't afford the storage fee, they're gonna put it up for "adoption " and sell it to someone else. I understand, they need to give it a rabies shot, but I know my dog don't eat no $20 a day in food. They say they have to get costs from somewhere but that is what all the government grants are for. If they aren't covering your expenses than put in the time and apply for more there are plenty out there you just have to apply. You can be as greedy with the gov as you want and we are still paying it with our taxes.

This pet rescue is the best!!! We love it! Everyone is so kind. The animals look so clean happy and well loved. The environment is so kind and friendly. We go there almost every week! All of the donations from the thrift store go to feeding the animals at the shelter. This is one of the jems of Hermiston! Thank you so much guys! You're awesome!

Coordinated with Director Beau Putnam to borrow a live trap for an abandoned dog at a Corps recreation area. Myself and another ranger had been trying for 2 days to coax him into a kennel to no avail. Mr. Putnam not only provided a live trap which was successful, but took excellent care of Bark Ranger Kai and ensured he was adopted by a loving and responsible family in a reasonable amount of time.Mr. Putnam was professional, kind, and generous in his position and is clearly an authentic man with animals' best interests in mind. His partnership with my agency made our jobs a little easier and I would recommend working with him to any responsible party looking to adopt.Thank you again!!

Back in 2010 Beau helped me to catch the towns Highway dog and her puppies. I am forever grateful for having had sweet Belle in my life.I got my Dharma from there. She was there when I came to help with a truck wreck that had dozens of dogs on it. When we brought them all to the shelter I spotted Dharma and I had to have her. She was so tiny.Fast Forward to March of 2021...I adopted my precious Clover from there. I love her to pieces and am so thankful to have spotted herIn July of 2021 Beau brought me a sick kitten, she was dying. I told him I doubt that she will make it, but he believed I could help her. She is 2 now and one ornery crazy kitty. I am grateful that he brought her to me...she is one of my dogs best friend.

Have had great experience with Pet Rescue and Beau. Have adopted cats and had nothing but positive experiences from a group of people who do a thankless job to help the community. Keep up the great work.

While im glad our area has a shelter, ive also heard about them adopting peoples dogs out after saying theyd hold them for a certain time/ day (recently getting the animal )… ive seen many complains about this recently, even if the dogs microchipped. Then said person loses their baby forever becuse their word means nothing.

I’ve lived in Oregon for roughly 12+ years and anytime a family member needed a new addition to the family we recommend Pet Rescue. We have family in Washington and the Portland area who have gotten several of their pets from Beau. My husband & I adopted our “Sweet” Hunny from Pet Rescue back in 2019. The day we picked her up and a current picture today.❤️

I have adopted several dogs from pet rescue in Hermiston. The staff were friendly and even allowed me to come after hours to do a meet and greet with my dog to meet another dog I was wanting to adopt. My most recent adoption was Jake in March 2022. He has settled into our home with two other dogs, three cats, and kids. I highly recommend adopting a fur baby from Hermiston Pet Rescue.

Adopted a puppy through their spay momma dog program. Good experience with the staff and affordable adoption fees. And of course the pup turned out great!
