  This safeway is easily the biggest location in terms of square footage that I've personally been to. at the same time, they have waayyyy more products and variations of things to fill it. That being said, their shelves are consistently stocked, never bare. This is also the cleanest location I've ever seen! Which is refreshing, and says a lot about the management and the employees' work environment... obviously, they are happy, otherwise theres no way the store would look nearly as good as it does. Andddd the produce section is TO DIE FOR! Photo-worthy even- similar to that you'd find at a New Seasons or Whole Foods.

  This Safeway always treated me very well. I was talkative with the employees back in the monopoly days and enjoyed going to this store for some of the app deals that they would have. But just recently I started getting into Pokemon again and found out that the best time to go ,to be able to get something at the vending machine ,is right at open . And since Pokemon got popular again the bundles and packs are going for 2-3x what the machine sells them for. I didn’t want to pay that price for something that cost way less so I figured I should start going to the machines in the morning so that I can get product for a fair price. So I start going in the morning and I’m able to get my hands on a couple things a week, which I was happy about. But then this one time I was there at around 5:50 in the morning waiting for them to open. Some time passes and it is eventually 5:59. I see the manager (which is this older lady who is always their to open the door when I go their and has always been nice to me in the past ) about to open the door, then this random dude in a full black hoodie basically runs and squeezes past me into the store. I am still waiting for her to turn on the mechanism that turns the sensors on for the door to open automatically as she stops the dude from going into the store. They are talking for a little bit and I’m fully expecting her to tell him to go back outside (as their is a line to go in and I was first) but instead she lets him go past ( by this time it was 6). Then she finally turns on the sliding doors and I go in and sure enough he is at the machine trying to get all of the good stuff ( their was surprisingly a good selection which can be pretty rare ) which is what I was so-posed to get . So I then go up to him and tell him that I was in line first and to not buy anything . He then tells me no and I tell him that I’ve been waiting their to get the product and he’s not allowed to go in front. He then unzips his jacket and shows a name tag for Safeway. He says he works their and that he can go in their whenever he wants and do whatever he wants. I then tell him that is not how that works and that the line for the machine started outside. He is still saying that because he is an employee he can ( and my understanding is that if your not clocked in then you can’t go into the store before open and that if your clocked in then you can’t purchase items. Which would make it impossible to be able to purchase anything before or right at opening if these rules are followed), I then ask to speak to his manager which I didn’t want to do but it was not cool what this guy did. He gets a little hesitant and he says that that lady who opens the door was the manager which was the person who let him through. Now the manager is behind us and doesn’t do anything and their is another employee their just resting her arms on some totes just watching and that’s when I knew something was up. They then start calling me names and start saying out loud “ wow these crazy Pokemon people” “ these people are crazy” obviously talking about me when all I did was speak up when this employee did something they were not so-posed to do ! By then their was only 1 item in his cart on the machine for purchase which he buys. Then I get a couple items and leave. Now I do come back hoping that it would not happen again but now their is basically no items In the machine now. Probably because the manager gets it before opening now ( which she brags about doing) I guess their are like 2 employees their who try to get all of the Pokemon out of the machine and now she just gets it for them. Which just sucks because they can just sell them for 2-3 x the regular price and make a profit instead of letting someone who enjoys the game with their younger siblings get stuff at a decent price. Now it’s just not worth it to go to that machine at all because the employees also check it through out the day . This all just left a bad taste in my mouth and I’ve been going less now due to the costumer service

  Look at the size of these carrots! This Safeway has the biggest carrots hands down. Thanks bakery team for caring about my carrot size preferences! ?

  I went to the bakery and was happy to find carrot cake but it was the worst carrot cake ever. Carrots were microscopic. The cake had no texture, and the frosting was tasteless.

  A bit of frosting, that's gotta cost less than a cent! If they're being this pissy about a dollop of frosting you know they're cutting costs in bigger ways to get to this point. Come on guys, it's $4 for a slice of cake and you're going to cost cut this much?
  
  To hell with that nonsense. Give us back the damn carrot.

  I have visit this Safeway on 25th in Hillsboro several times. It's nice store, and like the fact bigger holds more items. So far no issues and for the first time, I used the bakery for birthday cake for my daughter and staff did Great Job!!. I would recommend this Safeway for future shopping.

  Safeway is made for your convenience, cuz There is a bakery, a deli, a pharmacy,a gas station, a butchery where you can get seafood, etc.The store was extremely clean, which made it easier to shop and locate items faster throughout the aisles. The produce at the Safeway looked immaculate. Prices get even better if you are a Safeway club member. Things are on sale all the time.If you're not a club member, just ask for a club card at the customer service desk.
