Arcade Book Exchange is a family owned used bookstore in Oregon that has been serving Washington County for over 45 years. It is a hidden gem filled with a large selection of fiction and nonfiction, new and used books, in almost every genre including children's books, educational books, literature, poetry, romance, mystery, historical fiction, and Oregoniana. Many books appear to be in new or gently used condition. It is the only bookstore in Washington County that also sells Oregon specific legal forms. The store is packed with books and treasures, featuring secrets spots, antiques, and the best selection of counter candy in the city. The store's services are considered invaluable to the community. It trades and sells books, exchanges jigsaw puzzles, and can order books upon request. It also has an inventory on Amazon through its shop "Yesterday's Memories" and proudly maintains a donation account for teachers and U.S. military personnel. The owner is wonderful and knowledgeable, able to help find books and authors with a magical grasp of the stock. The front-desk banter provides a perfect background for browsing. As a longstanding cultural institution, it offers great prices and is a place where one could spend years looking at books, padding a personal library with finds. It represents a thriving part of the community's literary landscape.

This place is so fun and not that far from the main street at all. They have a really wide selection from history to YA fantasy to cookbooks and lots of romance. Note though that a lot of sections are labeled romance but aren't actually romance books. Definitely a hidden gem for all book lovers!
