Cats Cradle is amazing, I've adopted out a few strays I've found through their offered by owner program. I don't think that these negative reviewers understand that offered by owner is a courtesy listing and the people they're speaking with aren't ent with Cats Cradle.
With all the shelters being full idk how I would have ever placed the kittens/cats they've helped find homes for. Fantastic organization.

Unacceptable Treatment – Do Better
I’m extremely disappointed with how my wife was treated by someone at Cat’s Cradle Rescue. After a positive conversation at an event and full transparency about our home setup (including dogs in a completely separate area), she was abruptly denied with no real discussion.
When she asked to speak to the foster, the man who called her was rude, dismissive, and wouldn’t even let her speak. As her husband, I’m appalled by the way she was talked down to.
We’re responsible pet owners offering a safe, loving home. There was no professionalism, no respect, and no willingness to listen. I can’t recommend this rescue based on how poorly this was handled.

Deeply Disappointed with Cat’s Cradle Rescue – Poor Communication and Unprofessional Conduct
I wish I could leave a positive review, but unfortunately, our experience with Cat’s Cradle Rescue in Hillsboro, OR was frustrating and deeply disappointing—especially for my daughter, who was led to believe she would be getting a kitten.
We met the organization at a public event at MudBay pet store, where we had thoughtful, transparent conversations with multiple women in charge. We clearly explained that we have dogs and emphasized that any future cat would have a completely separate, secure area of the home, fully inaccessible to the dogs. We have owned cats before. They gave us encouragement and made it seem like our application had a real chance. She even took off the paper with the kitten's info on the cage and wrote my name and phone number on.
The next day, we received a follow-up call. Again, we were honest and thorough about our household situation. Just two hours later, we were abruptly denied, not based on any in-person home check, but simply because of the presence of our small dogs. She was apologetic and said she hates making these types of phone calls. She asked me if I wanted to speak to the foster dad directly, and I said yes, hoping for a constructive conversation. What I received instead was a call from a man who was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unwilling to even listen. He interrupted repeatedly, shut down any discussion, and refused to consider our efforts to create a safe and loving environment for the cat.
This organization may have good intentions, but the way they handle potential adopters—especially families with children and other animals—is unacceptable. Their communication was inconsistent, their reasoning was rigid, and their representative's demeanor was condescending and unprofessional. I do not recommend Cat’s Cradle Rescue, and I sincerely hope they reevaluate how they interact with caring, responsible families like ours.

Daughter went thru their process this past week, very professional. Asked the right questions, made sure we had a good match, always communicated. We now have a new member in the family, fitting right in!

We found a lost kitty and were able to get advice from the kind people at Cat's Cradle. They really care. They have a network of foster volunteers and do their best to educate and help place cats and kittens. A couple of our staff also adopted through them and have been thrilled.

What a joke. Rescue is not their thing unless they can profit somehow I guess. Do not support or donate anything to this place. It's a SCAM !!

Great experience with the caring people at Cat's Cradle. They truly care for the cats and the people. They help you find the right cat, help you understand how to integrate the kitty into your home, answer questions and help you solve any concerns. Their volunteers are great too. Thank you Marilyn and Steve!

They're called Cat's Cradle Rescue but they won't give you any resources to help rescue a stray cat in the neighborhood that's always crying because it's probably hurt and hungry They literally wouldn't even give me the number of the person they just said they were going to give me the number for to take rhem to a shelter. And then said because I've shown the cat some food and try to make it feel safe so they could come get it or provide a resource, It Would be My Responsibility to take the baby to the Vet which I cannot afford. They're not doing anything to help. I'm not sure what they do, they're literally Make me feel worse for this cat. Then sent me Smart-a** text messages about how they're sure that I Am Fully Capable of essentially cat rescuing.

Absolutely fantastic organization and community!I was in the process of rehoming my cat as I won't have a home for her and will be traveling a lot. I went through a private connection and the transition was rough! I didn't know what to do so I called Cat's Cradle and Marilyn absolutely saved my cat!She helped me communicate with the new family to smooth out the stress of transition and coordinated medical information sharing. She then talked through the process with the new family to assist them in helping the fluffy princess adjust peacefully.I was in a very difficult position and Cat's Cradle not only helped, but made it a success!

This is a wonderful rescue. My husband and I reached out a few months ago about a cat we were interested in and Marilyn let us know despite her being adopted, she would keep our name on the list for future kitties. After a while we saw another who really spoke to us. Marilyn was once again amazing and so quick to help. Latka's foster mom, Jessica, was a gem. She was super communicative, sent photos, videos and even FaceTimed us. She was honest, genuine and you could tell how deeply she cared for the foster babies. Latka was extremely healthy and you can tell that although he was a feral cat, Jessica did wonders in helping him adapt to being a housecat. All his documents were very organized and straightforward as well. Since I was new to being a kitten mom, I had questions that I asked Jessica in the first few months after adopting. She was always willing to help! Latka (now Loki) is a handful, a cutie pie and a sweetheart. He is my little sidekick and I am so happy he came into our lives! I will recommend this rescue, and especially have great things to say about Jessica for years to come.

I recently had to rehome my sweet kitty due to us moving out of state and unable to take her with. Marilyn was the absolute best. She not only gave me very helpful information in regards to rehoming (it was my first time ever having to rehome) but was there every step of the way when I had questions. Thanks to her and the team I was able to find a new, safe home for my kitty. Thank you so much Marilyn!

We were thrilled to adopt via Cat's Cradle. We adopted two sibling boys in April of 2021, and the whole process was amazing. We applied early on a Friday morning. Over the weekend, one of the administrators (Julie) let me know that she'd be calling on Monday. Julie and I spoke on Monday; she answered my MANY questions. Julie then set up a phone call with the foster parents. After a call (and then a video conference) with the foster parents (and cats), we knew these were the perfect cats for us! We filled out the contract the next day... then just had to wait for the boys to be "fixed" (and for our cat supplies to be delivered). Meanwhile, Julie was sending us lots of information about their current diet and litter. And the foster parents were sending us fabulous pictures and videos of our cats, plus lots of info about their likes/dislikes--it was so helpful! By the time we actually got to meet our boys, we felt like we already knew them! We arranged (due to the pandemic) to do a parking lot cat pick-up, and it went great. I would highly recommend Cat's Cradle. Everyone involved seemed incredibly caring and professional.
