My mom had surprised me with a riding lesson when I was 10. I was so exited and ready to learn how to ride! I thought it would be a one time thing but no.My first lesson i rode a pony named Bob. He is a grumpy boy but also very silly and sweet and riding him made me so happy! Elaine was very patient and amazing at teaching!I didn't want to leave this place forever, so I asked my mom to have more lessons and I don't regret it because herrold stables is like a second home to me now. I love riding my favorite horse, Trixie ? and all the other wonderful horses there! It's been two years and now i go as many times as I can a week and stay to help out with the lessons and the horses because i cant get enough!! Thank you herrold stables, I dont know where I would be without you. And thank you Elaine:) you are amazing teacher.

Amazing!-my 9 year old’s response to how she liked the beginner horse camp. They spent most of the time riding, but also got to experience important horse care activities (shoveling out stalls, brushing the horses, washing the horses). She came out happy each day and telling me all about the different horses quirks and personalities. Elaine works well with the kids. A great experience!

Our family recently attended Herrold Stables Horse Days, and we had the experience of a lifetime. Our kid who is 3 has been talking about spending time with horses and was instrumental in signing us up. Our 5 year old was more tentative, but was excited too. The staff had beautiful, receptive horses ready for us with brushes and bows to decorate the horses for riding. It was perfect for our first-time riders who are not experienced with farm life, but there were activity for kids with all levels of experience. The staff helped the kids feel excited and safe, and taught us a lot. As a bonus, we played with chickens, ducks, and a rabbit. It was amazing. What a unique experience. We can’t wait to return for lessons and camps that they offer!

I'm so grateful to Elaine at Herrold Stables for allowing me the opportunity to connect with horses and riding again, at my (ahem...) advanced age! Riding was a huge part of my childhood and I've been separated from it for decades. Elaine has been so patient with me as I try to get my riding groove back, not quite like riding a bike, LOL! Her horses are gentle and patient, too! My soul is fed and my heart is filled!!

I am 60 years young and have decided to take riding lessons. Elaine at Herrold Stables has been so wonderful to work with. I am learning so much. If you are interested in learning to ride I highly recommend this stable.

This place is amazing! Elaine is an amazing instructor. I like how she tells us how to do it and doesn't show us. It helps people understand better in my opinion. You can ride English and Western here. I would definitely recommend going here. Bonding with your horse and learning together is the best part! :)

My fiance and I had a fun time during our first horse riding experience here. Elaine made sure we got acquainted with the horses and got to saddle them ourselves. Their horses have pretty distinct personalities so you're likely to find your horse-match there. Would go back again

I did not like this place. The workers were grumpy. They made little kids go into the stables by them self's with the horses where the horses could easily hurt them. Most of the people I was with had never road a horse before and all we were taught was how to stop. The horses are not well trained and are really hard to control even for someone that knows how to ride a horse. The whole time one of the workers was yelling at use with a megaphone. The trail ride is boring and passes a marijuana farm.

This Barn is basically my second home. I go here everyday, because we board our horse here, and because I just love it so much and enjoy to be there. I started riding 4 years ago, and it is a great place for all age riders, with a lot of experience or none. The owner, Elaine Herrold, is a kind, hard working person who wants to help riders and there horses every way possible. A lot of the time, construction is done, because the owners are building a new barn, but that does not influence the ride or the horses. Here, my horse can have a happy, safe, and healthy life, and my family can learn how to ride and connect with horses better. Whoever does not like this barn has not seen it completely yet. I love this barn, and it’s a big part of my life.

We had a wonderful time at Herrold Stables on an arena/pasture ride for two adults and our 5 yr old. It’s a beautiful place and it’s clear Elaine knows her stuff and the horses are well cared for. We met such nice people and hope to return!

My daughter's been riding there since she was 5 years old! She is now almost 10 years old. The most unpretentious, down to earth people are here, and Elaine, who owns the stables, is an amazing instructor. She is patient and kind, yet firm. My daughter has been riding here once a week for the past 5 years. We love Herrold Stables!
