I have been a patient of Hillsboro Eye Clinic for decades, and extremely satisified for their caring service. Well organized and quick turnaround. Very impressed by Dr Scott, for his caring and explaining in detail. Highly recommend this place and Dr Scott.

My previous ophthalmologist of 20 years retired. I'm very satisfied after two visits at this facility. I am not related to Dr. Garrett Scott.

Checked in at kiosk and shortly thereafter taken back to room. Was taken care of by technician before seeing my doctor. My eye doctor was great! I have a rare form of glaucoma called narrow angle and he was quick & precise on diagnosing & how to treat it. He gave me options & we chose a laser iridotomy as best treatment for me.. he was even able to do the procedure on one eye that day.. it was quick & painless.. I’ve seen many eye docs over the years & this being my first visit here, I was very impressed & will continue my aftercare here!

It was very quick and easy. I had a ride coming to take me home, I was out in plenty of time. Dr. Finley and staff are quite friendly and professional. I am very pleased.

First off, I got to work with a kind Intern. He was very self conscious but he did a great job.Next, worked with a __________? who was also kind, answered questions and handled herself professionally.Last, I visited with Dr. Goins. This was one doctor who actually looked at my chart before entering the room! Had a good follow-up on potential eye problems.

Very happy with this clinic they are top notch all the way. Facility was gorgeous and state of the art, check in process for new patients is seamless and the easiest I have seen at any doctors office ever. All of the staff are super friendly and take very good care of you. Quite pleased with what could have been a scary experience going in for a cataract surgery consult in my 40’s. The doctor was quite knowledgeable and well prepared, explained everything so I was put at ease quite readily. Highly recommended

I don't ever leave reviews but I had a not very great experience. Came in because I had an abnormal amount of floaters in my eyes all of a sudden and the doctor said I may just had oil in my eye and told me to use baby soap on it. When I called later and explained the baby soap was hurting my eyes and not fixing the amount of floaters, the nurse or receptionist (whoever was delivering the message) on the phone pretty much told me to get over it and that "she also had floaters in her eyes as she was looking at her computer screen" so floaters are normal, but as I said, it was an abnormal amount out of no where. Later, my primary care doctor said I actually had an infection and prescribed me antibiotics, which interestingly cleared the floaters. I wouldn't recommend this clinic, especially after the nurse pretty much told me to get over something that ended up being fixable.

Dr Passo said i didnt even need glasses, my vision was fantastic, a slight correction in my left eye but really wasnt necessary to correct. Ever so Slight astigmatism in the one eye. Said “great, ill see you next year at ur annual check up”. Meanwhile, in the real world, ive worn glasses for 10 years. I am near-sighted, i have astigmatisms in both eyes, i NEED glasses, and I certainly shouldn't be especially driving at night without them. I can see, but everything at any distance is undefined. I told him all these things and he said the numbers dont lie, youre doing great, cya next time. And left. This was a full eye exam for new patient and went as far as dilating my eyes and everything, to come up with these results! I just do not understand! And I especially dont understand how he couldve got up and left the room ignoring everything i just said without redoing the full test or, idk, something! At my contact lens fitting appointment (the following day), I brought in my previous prescription from previous doctor. This was a still valid, not expired prescription. I only had the eye exam with Hillsboro Eye because they said I had to if I wanted to see contact lens person. The contact lens person listened to me, and let me try on a pair of my old prescription numbers and, wow, unbelievable, for someone who needed no prescription at all they worked great. Imagine that. She said the numbers were very far off from what he said to actual prescription so was concerning and didnt know how it happened either. Unfortunately, she couldnt order them because they didnt match up to what doctor prescribed. She was going to check with him. Im not sure why she couldnt just use my non-expired previous prescription, but i understood their rules so didnt mind waiting. However, It was 2 full days before they reached out again (i thought checking with him might be me hearing back that day or the next); i was at work and couldnt answer the call. They didnt leave a message. Never tried to call again. I called a couple days later and they said id get a call back that day and never did. I called again the next day, and was told id get a call back. I finally did. She set me up with ability to order online, but when i looked at prescription numbers they didnt match up exactly to prescription (what i had tried on in exam room was all they had available, slightly off; so the numbers matched what I tried on, not my prescription, and the one eye was slightly blurry because of it). She was ordering some additional trials, said it would be within a week but probably sooner. This was on 4/11. It is now 4/22, no word back. The whole point in getting these appointments going (4/3 & 4/4) was because on 5/1 i leave for Mexico. My first real vacation ever! I still have no trials to try on, and know itll take a week for order to come in once im able to place the order. I want to be able to actually see when I go snorkeling and see when i go out in the deep ocean and swim with the dolphins. I made it very clear all along the way, from the time i made the appointment to the actual appointments, to the phone calls, that i needed these by May 1st and they said it was possible; but their customer service every step of the way has made it impossible (had I been able to have an accurate eye examine it wouldve saved days of waiting, had my old prescription been entered correctly instead of what i tried on, i couldve placed my order on 11th and had lens by now, Had additional trials for correct prescription been ordered at time of appointment instead of waiting days to hear back from doctor i would at least have trials by now if not my actual lens, etc)Luckily I saved that original trial pair that was a daily set that i was suppose to throw away as soon as i took out. It would be nice if I could at least get my other trials before I left (as one of them is a monthly lens instead of daily), that way I could have something for mean time and not stress about wearing the same daily lens the whole time. But havent heard a peep and i leave in 5-business days time.

I took my mother to Hillsboro Eye Clinic. After ordering glasses she was told they would call her when the glasses were ready - in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks we called them. The lenses came back with the wrong options. They implied that we ordered them incorrectly and said we would have to pay to have them corrected. Fortunately, I had taken a picture of the sales order and was able to prove that we ordered them correctly. If you go here to buy your glasses, make sure you have an appointment. They say they take walk-ins, but they don’t. After my 3rd attempt at being a walk-in, they said I needed to call ahead to see if they were accepting walk-ins. Today I called and asked if today was a walk-in day. Yes, they said. I was there within 10 mins, grabbed the glasses I wanted, waited in line only to be told they weren’t taking walk-ins and I would need an appointment. The staff isn’t very friendly either.

Fantastic eye doctors and care! I've been going here for years and while the clinic has had to change to "keep up with the times" I've never had it affect the quality of treatment.

I was trying to avoid going to that clinic for as long as possible. There is a very long wait time every time I go. Today I was just waiting in the lobby for almost 50 min. After the exam I was told to wait 10-15 min which ended up to be 40min. Total time spent there (wait time, exam time, to get prescription printed and to get a quote for glasses) was 2.5 hrs. I was lucky to have a day off today but it won’t be even possible if I had to work. That clinic has great doctors, so I hope something going to be changed in the nearest future.

The staff is courteous and friendly, the doctors are willing to answer questions, and in general it's a great experience. I'm glad they're my eye clinic.
