It is 5 years later and I need new glasses. I was always a walk-in client and now they have no time for a walk-in who is willing to wait. Bye Bye Hillsboro Opticians. Let the buyer beware.Years ago I purchased eyeglasses from Hillsboro Optician and never wore them because the bifocal was too high and obscured my vision. I took them back, but the technician would not remake them because he was right and I was wrong. He has been there a long time. I never went back. It’s 2017 and I got my eyes checked and needed a new prescription. The prescription had to be picked up in the optician side of the office. I met Sarah and she wanted me to see their selection of frames, so I told her my experience and said no thank you. She asked that I reconsider and at least look their frames and give them another chance. I was there so I found a few frames I liked, but my eyes were so blurred I said I would come back. Today, I went back and worked with Kelly and he was aware of my previous experience and worked very hard to get the bifocal part in the right spot. I have great confidence my new glasses, yes 2 pair, will be perfect. Kelly also fixed my favorite glasses that were bent. My opinion has changed and I thought I should share it. Sarah’s customer service skills brought me back and Kelly closed the deal. They both provided great customer service.

Fantastic eye doctors and care! I've been going here for years and while the clinic has had to change to "keep up with the times" I've never had it affect the quality of treatment.

I had an eye infection and had to be referred out. it took 6 weeks before I got the referral. I had to go back in because it got worse and ended up having surgery at OHSU. Yep was real happy I almost loss my eye, so much for caring Dr's. I have been going here for a few years and never had a problem but this was pre pandemic. Post pandemic they are the worse. I paid my bill when I checked in on 1 visit and one of the receptionists told me I had to pay my bill before seeing the Dr. I told her I did then questioned me why it wasn't showing up on their side. She did more checking then found the payment and said the system hasn't updated yet. No apology for talking to me so loud that everyone could hear trying to shame me for more money.

This was the first and last time I will go to this clinic. They have new patients check in at a kiosk instead of having a personal touch. Not the end of the world except they then forgot about me. After 30 minutes I had to ask when I would be seen. I was told that is an issue with the self check ins. Then the doctor spent no more than 5 minutes with me. They didn't take a photo of my eyes (even Costco checks for eye health). I have a prescription for computer work and the eye doctor told me to just go get readers at the dollar tree. Readers don't work for me to do computer work. I would never recommend this place.

The staff at Hillsboro Eye Clinic are exceptional. They are professional, efficient and caring. Dr. Garde and Dr. Frank provide amazing care and skill. So glad they are in Hillsboro.

Can you have a website to input appointments? This is the 21st century and all my other providers have some kind of app or web based interface for making appointments. Whenever I call I have to wait for a long time before I get someone to help make an appointment. Even my mechanic takes appointments online. Apart from that, service is good at the clinic.

Everything. The staff and physicians are first-rate; equipment and techniques are up-to-date, and the care I have received has been excellent. I have recommended Hillsboro Eye Clinic to others and will continue to do so as opportunity presents.
