Hillsboro Parks and Recreation offers a variety of amenities for both people and their canine companions. The Hono dog park is a popular destination, with obstacles for dogs to play on and ample space for them to run and chase their balls. The park has multiple fenced areas for different-sized dogs, and visitors praise the friendly and attentive owners who keep the area clean by picking up after their pets. The Lightopia event at the park is also well-received, with visitors describing it as high-quality and appreciating that it is free to attend. Additionally, the sports camp at Griffin Oaks has been a hit with local families, brightening up their summer with the support and enthusiasm of the coaches. Overall, Hillsboro Parks and Recreation is known for its well-maintained facilities, friendly community, and diverse range of activities, making it a popular destination for both residents and their four-legged friends.
My dog Ace loves going to Hono dog park! He likes the obstacles there when he's not chasing his ball. People are pretty good about picking up poop after their dogs and others. The parking can get full on weekends and evenings sometimes. They have a couple of rail barrels to provide water under the gazebo.
