I miss the days when there were commissioned salespeople on the floor. You didn't have to search for an open register, and you actually got help finding what you wanted.
The store was clean, almost devoid of people, employees, or otherwise. We found a few things and spent entirely too much time looking to pay for them with a completely disengaged cashier.

I went to Macy's on 4/22 at the Streets of Tanasbourne to purchase some Lancome Foundation. The sales associate told me they were pre-selling for an upcoming gift promotion. She gave me no explanation of how this promo worked so I assumed my purchase of $109 didn't qualify ($63 Lancome and $46 Clinique). I have never heard of a presale event for cosmetics. Today (4/24) I received a flyer in the male from Macy's for their gift promotion. Spend $39.50 to receive this bag of free gifts valued at $177. Of course I immediately called Macy's to inquire if the purchase I made 2 days ago is recorded somewhere to qualify for this promotion. It took me dialing and pressing all the options SIX times before I actually got to speak with someone. Every time my call got routed to the Lancome counter someone would answer and proceed to hang up the phone. Finally, on the 6th time I get to speak with someone and explain that I made a purchase there 2 days ago, that I was told they were doing presales for the free gifts and that I wanted to see how my sale was recorded so that I could get the gift set in May 6th when it became available. The associate proceeded to o explain to me that if I wanted my purchase to count for the presale I would have needed to leave my purchased item at the store until May 6 and then pick them both up together. That would have been valuable information to have at the time of my purchase don't you think? So now, if I want to get this promotion I need to spend an additional $39.50. In my opinion they should honor the purchase I made 2 days ago. If it makes them happy I could even bring back my $64 foundation that I bought 2 days ago and they could hold onto it until May 6th. No effort was made to see my point that this was information I needed at time of purchase to allow me the opportunity to take advantage of this promotion with the purchase I was making that day. No effort to suggest any resolution except that I spend more money. No thank you. Why would I spend my money in a store that is expensive to begin with and clearly does not value me as a customer. I would highly recommend Ulta Beauty for your cosmetic needs. They have the same products as Macy's but they actually value you as a customer. Their sales reps go out of their way to help you find what you need, take their time to make sure you get everything you need, and inform you of any promotions they have AND WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO QUALIFY FOR THEIR PROMOTIONS. I will never spend another penny on cosmetics or health and beauty products at Macy's again. Spend your money where your business is valued.

I love Macy's The last time I was here they had a guy singing live and it was great! It's nice to go shopping and then be able to sit down and enjoy some music very pleasing!

First Macy's in a while that I was actually helped. A nice woman from Central Europe helped me, she was very nice and knowledgeable. I would go back to her next time I need to shop for perfume.

I'm writing this based on my experience here as a former employee during the holidays. Management here is completely unprofessional and out of it. Store always looks dirty and unkept. Stains on the carpet, hair and dust everywhere. It's embarrassing. Don't waste your time applying here. It's always slow. They put up the schedule once a week on Fridays, then will change it on you without any notice. So you could show up to your shift and then asked why you're there ? they don't send out automated update reminders if there's a change in the schedule. So basically you have to check it every other day. Don't waste your time applying. They have a high turnover for a reason.
