This place is good for buying kegs but they really miss the boat in so many ways. Very frustrating to deal with. First, I can't understand why they can't maintain a list of kegs of beer that are usually available to order in this area. Instead you just have to guess or come up with a beer on your own and ask if it's available. What's just a s frustrating is: getting them to answer their phone during business hours is always hit and miss. In my experience, it's more hit than miss. 2/3 of the time when I call I get no answer and it rings about 8 times then no voicemail, just hangs up on you. Once you can finally get a hold of someone and make your order and go pick it up in person they're very friendly and easy to deal with and even help you load. There's just a disconnect on providing good customer service otherwise. 😕

Excellent homebrewing supply store with ample selection of grains.
Always clean and organized, I find everything I need to make all sorts of beers, ciders, and meads… including water adjuncts, nutrients, hops (biggest selection anywhere!) and liquid and dry yeasts.
Love this place!

Awesome staff with super helpful information, always ready to help with your projects. Great hop and grain selection with excellent prices. Good keg selection and good prices. Connected to an awesome bar with lots of taps.

Did business with him ONCE. Never again. I wrote to Kevin the owner disagreeing with something on his web site. Instead of being respectful, he told me "that's your opinion and nothing more". Yes true, but a very rude response.
I visited his store once. Went in to buy some yeast. Almost nothing had a price on it. I asked him why? He said to ask him if I want to know. Seriously? What if stores did that? Just scan everything. No Kevin, I'm not going to ask how much every item costs.
Of the few items with a price tag, he is more expensive than any other place I have gone to, except Steinbarts. I asked him why the prices were so high? I expected an answer telling me his shipping or rent went up. No. Instead he told me if I don't like the prices, go somewhere else. I definitely will, but I expected a more professional answer.
I have gone to Brew Brothers many times and the owners have told me that numerous customers have complained about how rude, condescending, and arrogant Kevin was to them. I recently went to a welding shop for CO2, he mentioned Main Brew, and I explained my experience. The employee agreed and said he will no longer deal with them because of the rude owner.
For those who say "I've never had a problem with him", just because you haven't does not invalidate other people.

Great shop for brewing and winemaking supplies. Also a great place to get kegs or growlers of local beer. Knowledgeable staff the gives kind attention to you needs and knowledge. Highly recommend!

Went in for a few ingredients and found most likey best brew store in the area, I was shocked. I move to Portland 2 years ago and have not found a shop that had everything I expected to see in a brew store. Ok maybe I was spoiled having lived near one of the big internet Storrs. I asked for stuff that I had to.order before I found this place and the guy just kept bringing it out. Wow. Next time I need something this is where I am going.

I've been brewing for over a year now and Mainbrew has been with me every step of the way. John is incredibly knowledgeable and has answered all of the questions I asked. Recently, I met Dustin and learned a lot from him as well. Very knowledgeable staff. The amount of yeast strains and and hops available is every brewers dream. Prices are all fair. They also have a bottle shop next store to find inspiration while you brew.

I was suggested this place as an option for mead, and I wasn't disappointed. I got there 10 minutes before they closed, and still got stellar customer service. Friendly staff and great prices. I will be going back!
