Orenco Woods Nature Park is a beautiful and well-maintained outdoor space suitable for visitors of all ages. The park features gently rolling hills, wetlands, and oak savanna, offering a variety of natural habitats to explore. Visitors can enjoy walking or biking across a new, spectacular bridge on the Rock Creek Trail, where they might see great blue herons in the wetlands below. The park also has several trails, some off-limits to bikes and dogs, making it a great spot for a peaceful stroll. Families with children will appreciate the nature-themed playground, which includes climbing structures, swings, and small water features with a deep sand base for safety. There are multiple picnic areas with covered tables and grassy spots, perfect for gatherings. The park has clean, well-maintained restrooms and ample paved and packed wood chip paths for easy walking. Dogs are welcome, although they are not allowed on the nature trail, and there are no fenced-off dog areas. Visitors should be prepared for mosquitos around dusk, especially near stagnant water, and note that some pathways are temporarily closed for water works improvements. Overall, Orenco Woods Nature Park offers a lovely setting for a Sunday stroll, picnics, or outdoor fun for kids and dogs alike.

A new favorite park. We went for the playground, which was very nature-y themed. Note that there are no slides, just things to climb on, swings, and a lot of sand with some small water features.
