My grandma had a good experience living here almost 10 years, buildings could stand some updates by now but still a good place for a tighter budget. Be mindful of no built in AC in the summer time, but lots of trees kept her unit pretty shaded and cool for the first 7 years

The complex itself is nice, nice playground, nice amenities, but there are often police here and the type of people living there changed a lot in our 18 months here. Seems to be more trash around, smells of weed a lot, and lots of homeless people roaming around in the evenings and in the night, also lots of people dumpster diving.

Recently moved here from Utah, I like to be on top of things when moving so I contacted quatama crossing in advance. Victoria was the one who helped me through the entire process with professionalism, kindness and just really helpful! The place itself is really awesome lots of community activities the pool gym and playgrounds are genuinely so nice. Tonight my partner and kiddo were so tired from unpacking and work that we just did not have enof energy to really cook, then we recieve the most perfectly timed emails that the office had pizza and soda beacuse it was to hot to cook, or the other day when I was headed to work and they were handing out breakfasts! Never have I lived in such a welcoming place. Happy to be here!!! Would recommend to friends and family!

Renter beware!
I just spent days researching this property, the surrounding area and all the public transit options.
This property looks amazing for the longterm renter and I was excited to join this community… until discovering that this property not only allows smoking on the balconies, but INSIDE the units!
I wish this had been made clear on the website before I had spend days researching and getting my hopes up.
Non-smokers and people with medical concerns, proceed at YOUR own risk… so disappointed.

All our residents are the working poor; too well off financially to receive assistance and yet working paycheck to paycheck. Living here makes me feel that I am living in a quality neighborhood that I know i wouldn't be able to afford at Market prices.
I have lived in this apartment complex for nearly 6 years. I have lived in different apartments with different roommates, but I have chosen to stay here at Quatama Crossing because of the respect and attention the employees pay to their jobs.
Facilities maintains and repairs any problems in my apartment promptly, and they've even resolved issues with my garage and the lighting outside.
The ground keepers make the complex attractive and inviting. The complex feels like a neighborhood, and I enjoy being a part of it.
The office staff receive my packages to prevent porch piracy, and inform me when they arrive. They have worked with me when I have had problems with roommates leaving or financial stresses. They have kept me informed when my lease was nearing renewal, when I was on a waiting list for my carport space, and later my garage. I feel that if I have a valid concern, the office staff and the maintenance crew will treat me with respect and resolve it in a timely fashion.
I am getting to my senior years, and I have had many landlords. I've owned my own home, and I know what it takes to keep one in good shape. I feel that Quatama Crossing does that well, and I am enjoying not having to worry about it.
We have wonderful enrichment activities here! Food trucks visit regularly. There are events in the leasing building that foster the feeling of community. I frequently pass the office after school and see a staff handing out treats to the school children as they return to their homes. We have a yearly garage sale, and a big BBQ. I love getting to talk to and mingle with my neighbors! There are also holiday contests for the residents to participate in. We have had some wonderful and interesting pumpkins, gingerbread houses, and coloring contests.
This is what makes Quatama Crossing special to me.

Is the water pump that is located outside of the entrance meant for thirsty pups?

Do NOT live here if you want to move out and have unreasonable charges for damages you did not cause. I had a good overall experience living here and the maintenance is great. Although when I moved out, I was presented with charges for damages, I did not cause and the evidence that was provided to me was completely false and inconsistent. When called out on the inconsistency and potential lies, the management told me they don’t even owe me proof in the first place. The management was reluctant to get in contact with me ( I had to chase them down over the phone and email constantly) and their approach was clearly meant to corner me in order to pay for repairs so that they don’t have to. It’s very unfortunate that affordable housing that is supposed to cater to people with low income would target their tenants to pay for their routine repairs and make it practically impossible for the tenants to argue their way out of the unfair situation.

Changing my rating. This complex advertises how accessible the MAX station is, yet they've erected a pointless fence that adds time and energy to the walk. I overheard the maintenance workers checking the fence calling those who wanted to take the more direct path "lazy ****s." Very unfriendly for a place that shares a name with said MAX station.

Great neighborhood and cute park, the place is sometimes sketchy but hey it’s Portland, there really is a strong community there and it and the schools nearby provide a great place to foster a family.

No air conditioner anywhere in the apartment complex during the hot summer season. While the staff are cool and comfortable in their centralized air condition building the rest of the tenants suffer inside their hot box apartment. Constantly fire and car alarms going off to other or surrounding buildings. Water shut off to the entire buildings has been happening lately. Inconsiderate tenants to your peace and quiet along with them parking all over your parking space. Always the smell of stinky weed being smoked by tenants which travels through out the apartment inside and out. Maintenance pick and choose what to fix when things break in the apartment. Appliances and carpets needs updating looking grungy and old. Parking rules about parking your vehicle backward it’s in the actual leasing contract is ridiculous and they will give tickets to the unfavorable ones. It’s a section 8 income base apartment but yet my rent is so high. You like cops come live here you see them a lot.
