Terrible experience at Safeway probably the worst Safeway I've been to just a heads up you can't buy a bag to get cash back here which is pretty stupid in my opinion because literally every other Safeway does it so just a heads up
Oh and out of the six registers that they have in the store there's typically only one or two open at a time

I've avoided shopping at safeways because of the prices for a long time, but at least with the membership prices are competitive and even good sometimes. I like this store because its clean and usually pretty fast to get in and out. Its very well stocked compared to the stores I usually go to. The first time I went in I was walking down the cheese isle and I dont think I've ever seen that many shredded cheeses at a store before.

Safeway in Hillsboro employs a man named Timmy Wiley who promotes hate speech while wearing a Safeway uniform. Unacceptable!

23/8/29 Staffing spread thin. The lady in Customer Service is also assisting with self-checkout. Please check receipt for pricing & your rewards before you leave the store. Pricing & loyalty program have glitches. They are pretty good at making the adjustments except for the rewards.
10/2022 Lots more choices in inventory. Added additional cashiers when the lines starts getting long. Amazed that all the items on sale are available including the "free" items since they're usually gone or not available. Very fast service at checkout.
23.2.21 short list today... everything but the 17 cents tillamook yougurt cups are available. Fast checkout & friendly associate.
23.4.24 short list again today - trying to earn my 2x birthday rewards. Two items need price adjustments.

Worst experience in a grocery store. Customer service was closed 30 minutes early. No one knew how to help. We just wanted a cake from the bakery display. The guy running the self checkouts stopped to help a sight impaired man at the customer service desk. We got in line behind the customer just to ask the question. This guy had the audacity to ignore us. Didn't even make eye contact. Walked right by us, almost bumped me in th shoulder. All I wanted was to ask about a cake. Will not be back to any Safeway branch. This is the worst place. It was dirty, and many items were out of stock. Terrible.

Sucks they don't open until 7am. And need to stock up on eggs during inclement weather events
