Shadywood Park is a peaceful 9-acre neighborhood park located in a hidden forest area with tall oak trees providing ample shade. The park features a picnic shelter and picnic area that can be rented, making it ideal for large gatherings and family outings. There is a small playground near the shelter, a horseshoe pit, and open spaces perfect for activities like BBQs and relaxing walks on paved paths. The park is well maintained, with open bathrooms, curbside parking, and a parking lot. It is a popular spot for families, offering activities for children and a friendly environment to feed squirrels with raw nuts. Visitors appreciate its calm and quiet atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy nature, spend time with loved ones, or simply relax. During summer, the park hosts a school lunch program, and the shelter is available for reservations from January for the upcoming season.
Hanging out in the park late at night is kind of sketch but itโs very peaceful of your just trying to have a good time with yiu

Fun place for kids. They had many activities for them along with lunch. It was the last activity thru the parks. A lot of parents along with their children. Nice covered area that could accommodate a large gathering.

We love feeding the squirrels here. Just make sure you use raw nuts with no salt and you research the ones that are most healthful for them. ๐
