Staff is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable especially considering it's a specialized store with a lot of technical nuances in multiple industries, from base electronics to computers to microscopes and telescopes and many more in between.
Huge variety of products and items, plenty to choose from.
Used and second hand items, not always in top shape or working condition, but prices are sliced down accordingly and good enough to find great deals for used items.
Such type of store is not easy to find in many other metropolitan areas in the country, simply because it's easier to sell brand new packaged items for high prices, than used bulk items with little to no warranty.

This is a very fun little store if you're into electronics. From modern to vintage, they seem to have parts for everything. I wish there was a store like this closer to Spokane. I wasn't looking for anything specific, but everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Great place to find anything from small electronic parts, to stepper motors, to used test equipment.
They have lots of useful electronic surplus stuff in the open shelves, but if you need a specific electronic part, just ask at the desk.
I was looking for a fairly specific voltage regulator to complete a project. They had multiple tubes of the exact part I had identified as one that would work in my design, in the back behind the register.
Just ask!

Make sure you go in with an actual shopping list of what you need, because you will quickly forget what it was and get distracted by the myriad of interesting other techno junk. If you are a tinkerer, this is the place for you, if you are tenacious enough, you can usually find what you need either new or used.

The sheer variety of cool things to build if you are a hacker, available here is amazing..., must visit... They are very cool folks who encourage science and DIY among young and not so young alike ...

Some cool stuff, if you're willing to do some searching, but not a place I'd go to get functional parts.
Pros:
- A great place for finding random strange and interesting electronics. For example, they have an aisle full of old boards for $0.50 each.
- Well stocked with robotics and older PC components.
- Almost always great prices, but don't be afraid to make an offer.
Cons:
- NO REFUNDS / NO RETURNS: I give a better return policy on parts I sell through Craigslist. Your receipt is worthless, except for taxes.
- After researching the company's site and store for several hours, I never saw any hint they don't do returns, but I found out in 5 minutes they are a Christian-owned business. I wish people like this wouldn't advertise their faith, then treat you this way.
- Don't buy anything without testing it first. If it says "Tested/Working" on the item, that doesn't mean it works.
Why I Wrote this Review:
Bear in mind, if I had just bought old junk here, my review would have been 5 stars. Instead, I bought 4x 12AX7 tubes that were supposedly tested and rated 80% or better for $8 each. Took them home and found they were ALL DOA (tested in working amp and they didn't glow or function). The next week, I drove back to exchange them for more, but they told me they don't (as a policy) exchange dead parts and pointed to a small sign stating "ALL ITEMS SOLD AS-IS'.
I also bought a full PC for $150 that turned out to require the wrong kind of memory, but obviously, buyer's remorse is not a reason they accept, either. I am poor, and so when I had to keep a useless PC instead of my $150 or store credit, after driving 1.5 hours round trip, I wasn't super happy.
I don't normally return items for a stupid reason, but the way they treated me for trying to return the PC still made me feel like a jerk, when in fact, their AS-IS policy is not normal and is not stated anywhere you will see it without looking, which is dishonest, in my opinion. My receipt doesn't say 'NO RETURNS", or I never would have bought the PC, or wasted a day trying to exchange the junk I bought. And if they had mentioned their policy, they would probably lose a lot of sales. I don't mind buying from a place that doesn't do returns, as long as they make me aware of it, if it differs from other businesses, but even ewaste recycling companies offer refund/exchange for DOA parts.
The owner made it sound like he does do exchanges sometimes, but maybe that's for people he likes. I won't be going back.

In love with this store. I could spend the day and a bucket of money here. Great for the maker who has costs of various bits and bobs in mind. (Many prices are good, some are just ok). I look forward to my next shopping adventure in any case.
