Needed Vital Records, location is as posted. Staff was friendly with visitors. Retrieving records was quick. Never had an issue with retrieving the information I needed.

When you call they refuse to help you. You will be crying and thinking about killing yourself again after taking to them. If you complain the Supervisor will call you back and belittle you to the point of inducing a panic attack. This institution helps absolutely no one.

1. People must wear masks when going out.
2. If someone coughs and pollutes the air outside the house, the neighbor must report it.

I live in Washington County so therefore feel it is imperative that I know what is going on in my own neighborhood regarding the coronavirus. I rely on this site for information as well as the CDC site

Be aware that ALOT has moved from this location. I brought my two daughters, one infant to get her birth certificate. The hospital told me to go to this building. It was a hot day today and after I got the stroller out etc... lugged my way over I was greeted inside with a sign telling me they moved all of these departments. My luck, Vital records was one of them a couple blocks down. Pretty confusing map to an already tired, , disorientated mama with a toddler and an infant. A man walked by and helped me figure it out.. but even then took a little walking around outside around town before I found the new tiny Vital Records office.Again lucky me... today out of all the days with no notice online etc. Just a note by the door... they WERE closed today for staff training. They should have at least had one person working if they can’t give decent notice. Such a let down. I mustered all the energy I could to get out of the house today and get my two weeks old birth certificate so we can add her to our insurance policy etc.So if you’re looking for Vital Records go a couple blocks down across from US BANK and you will see it there sharing a building with some health fitness place. I hope this saves another mama or daddy the confusion and disappointing trip I had.:(

I can't knock any stars off because stuff like this doesn't exist where I come from. They supply people with free or super low-cost family planning services (based on income), which is amazing. As far behind as we are with universal health care and services in the community that are free/cheap and readily available, this place is a gem. They also give free condoms, exams and the Plan-B pill. During the day it's mostly dedicated to the aforementioned services. But at around 5 PM twice a week you will start to see people lining up to see a nurse practitioner for FREE. They also have free medication available, depending on what you're in need of. The only downside is that everyone in Hillsboro, along with their families, piles in here and you all receive a card with a number. They call numbers in order. I was lucky enough to somehow get number 5 the first time. People that don't need to be here are here taking up space sometimes. It also seems there are people here taking advantage of the free services provided. Also, the people here are volunteers and they are able to stay open largely because of donations. Let me just say in the nicest way possible that the people that should be donating (even $3 helps) don't seem to be donating at all. Overall, much needed services provided by informative, compassionate staff.
