“It's not every day that you call a stranger and they genuinely make you feel like they care about you.

I called ahead to see if they charge for parking and if they have open spots for Truckers coming in late.

I was seeing if I should stay by the lake or get closer to my destination and be able to be near civilization.

The gentleman that answered I believe was Eddie, and he gave all the info i needed but... it wasn't just that. He just .... he was welcoming.... and just some little almost nothings that he said while we spoke just hit me hard for some reason. He made me feel like I was his son or nephew.

So his genuine kindness and getting more miles in made my choice so i came down (or up lol)

I should have introduced myself and said something in person when I went into the store when I arrived. I feel silly for not doing it but here is my chance!

Sir! Thank you for being kind and welcoming like that. It was genuine and real and it made me feel good and I needed that. Truly, thank you for being you.

And there was a young lady there as well I believe this was his daughter and she was very kind and helpful as well. They had little pizzas and hot dogs and Cheddarwursts and mini tacos and jalapeno poppers and of course everything else that you'll find in a convenience store.

There's also a restaurant next door, but I was worn out from a very very long day of driving and so I opted for the mini tacos and the mini pizza and I got a Dr Pepper then back to the truck to count tires or whatever it is that us truckers count when we go to sleep LOL

Hope this facility also has showers and the lot is a dirt lot for us Checkers which is perfectly fine for me because it was nice flat dirt and it was a large area you could probably fit 60 trucks and sell I just kind of lol this is embarrassing but it's funny.

So because there was plenty of room I literally like drove around in a circle like a cat or a dog how they walked around their blanket like 10 times before they finally lay down LOL

Then I found my spot and I ran into the store because I felt like I 100% needed to patronize the business because I have grown a strong appreciation for any truck stops that are not charging truckers for parking.”
