Big R is a store that serves as a fuel and rest stop. It is described as a really great place to shop where customers often check for items in stock before looking online. More often than not, they have what you're looking for. The staff receives significant praise, frequently called excellent, super friendly, wonderful, knowledgeable, amazing, personable, and a wonderful team. Employees are noted for their great service, offering outstanding help, understanding poorly described problems, and ensuring customers have the necessary tools. They are helpful when customers are lost and are ready to assist, even pointing them to new sections of the store. The front employees offer a great greeting and the store is pet-friendly, allowing well-behaved dogs inside. However, there are critical concerns. Prices are generally higher than usual. A significant issue involves a product sold that carries a cancer warning. Despite a customer report, the product remains on the shelves, leading to the accusation that money is more important to the company, which is called sad and scary.
I go to Big R for almost anything, for work and home. Good open store, not tight and over crowded like other hardware stores. The return policies are a bit strict, so don't look for a good experience there.

Prices are generally higher than usual, but Burns is, after all, a fuel, and rest stop, between Bend, and the rest of the world. The pictures are of the Falls Fire, from the side yard of my adopted daughter's trailer, in the North end of town.
