Apple Valley Country Store is a wonderful bakery, fruit shop, and true gem along the fruit loop. It offers an authentic, rustic, and old timey shopping experience with a welcoming, familiar, and charming atmosphere. The store provides plenty of seasonal treats, local crafts, foods, and goodies, including homemade jams, artisanal snacks, fresh baked goods, and frozen pies. Highlights include amazing pear dumplings, outstanding apple cider donuts, apple cider slushies, excellent huckleberry milkshakes, fresh Mario Berry empanadas, and fruit like cherries and apples. There is a nice little outdoor seating area and very friendly staff, though some items like test jams may not be for sale and prices can be a little more expensive.
