“Beautiful location but we are very disappointed with the service. We treated ourselves to the river room and loved the view (best part was being able to sit with the doors open).The bathroom however was dirty. The shower had pieces of a bar of soap sitting in the drain. We found a contact in one of the towels (we don’t wear contacts).But the worst part was when we were packing up to leave (at 10:05, checkout is 11) the hotel made our key stop working. This caused us to have to call the hotel staff to let us back into the room to get the rest of our stuff. The hotel staff did not apologize at all or even ask if we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It felt as if they were rushing us out.Rooms: River room has beautiful views.Nearby activities: Other hotel and restaurant within a few feet from hotel.Walkability: You can walk to the local Mexican restaurant, pizza place or Walmart if you are okay walking over the bridge. We brought a flashlight to be able to do it at night.”

“Great location, staff were lovely and dog friendly!. A bit outdated and not super eco friendly. For take out food they use a lot of plastic, no filtered water dispensers, no real trash places to dispose of dog waste,”

“Loved my visit to Columbia Gorge Hotel. My room was cozy and the bed was comfortable w plenty of extra pillows stashed in the closet! The view from my room was lovely. Staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The grounds were beautiful even in the snow, and it was easy to get into town for dining and a little shopping in Hood River.”
