Customer service at HR Key Bank is phenomenal! Daniel is such a dedicated and caring employee. He went well over his responsibility by calling us and looked up information concerning a lost refund that we were dealing with. He is very humble and let us know that Brian, his boss, was also very helpful in helping to figure this out. It took months but they hung in there with us until the problem was solved. Can’t say how much we respect and appreciate this!!

BEWARE OF THIS BANK AND THIS BRANCH! I’m experiencing the same issues as the people before me have. Right now as of today key bank (hood river branch)owes my 92 year old grandma and myself 1100 in overdraft fees just for the month of Jan. I open a joint account with my grandmother after my grandfather died this last March. I opened this account in June. Mind you my grandparents have banked with this bank for 30+ years. 1100 on overdraft fees on an account that’s set up to no have overdraft protection. I clearly stated when opening my account that I didn’t want checks or overdraft protection as I do on any bank account I have ever opened. Since July thousands in overdraft protection. The 1100 is just for the month of January. But thousands since I opened the account. Mind you my grandmother lives off of a salary of about 1800 a month so when 1100 is taken out doesn’t give her much to live on. Yesterday I learned that the debit card had a freeze on it. But there was over a thousand in the account her ssi check had been deposited on the third. So I call the number on the back of my card to find out why. Also was never informed that there was a freeze on the account until I attempted to use it while broke down on the side of the highway to pay for roadside service last night. So I called the number and spoke with a rep for well over 45 mins also requesting to speak to management numerous time only to be told there was nothing that the could do it was a branch hold and nobody could lift it but the branch them selves. So I slept in my car overnight until a friend rescued me and changed my tire. Today I wake and about 1030 am I call the bank to find out why there’s a freeze on my card. I’m told by the branch and the woman I spoke to yesterday in the bank about my overdraft charges, tells me it’s a fraud dept freeze. And that there evidence that I called the night before and spoke to anybody. I said no it’s not they told me specifically it was a branch freeze and that branch was the only one that could lift it. After calling me a liar I’m told I will get a call back but that it may take 15 mins or so but she would call me back. Never did! I call the branch back 10 times after I was told that. Everytime my call was directed to voicemail I never got anybody to answer their phones from 1pm to 5 pm when the close. But the three calls I made before this issue but same day I reach a voice everytime. In the 10 calls I made I was connected once and after that the man who I was he hung up well actually he just put me back thru to the main menu on their voice recording. Just since my card has been “frozen” they have deducted 900 dollars and left my account at a negative -350 now. All of this occurred in the last 24 hrs while I have had no access to my money and now I have no money to access since they froze my card they have stripped my account funny I can’t access it but they can! All of this is just the beginning of a even bigger mess. This bank is a fraud and I think a attorney will be my next step. This bank has no ethics and completely unprofesional In denial and unwilling to admit their wrongs. Not the hands of people I want having access to my financials! This is very scary that federal institutions are getting away with this kind of crap everyday! I truly hope there’s not other seniors out there goi g thru this and don’t have people to be their voices and they no longer are able to be active in advocating for themselves. Heartbreaking what this world is coming to. I do not recommend key bank to anybody. I will keep it posted on what happens from here.

applied for a refinance with them in july. they told us we were approved after I sent in all my docs... in December they told us they were just waiting for the appraisal to go through still after I called and called to verify. In January they told us they couldn't do it because we didn't qualify. so we waited 5 months for nothing. really bad process and huge waste of time after I submitted over 30 documents to them in the beginning to make sure we qualified.

Filed a dispute for a fraudulent charge and was told we would get the money back....got a new card and my claim was denied and I ain’t getting my money back. Crappy time considering the circumstances
