The Independence Hotel is a wonderful and beautiful hotel right on the Willamette River. It is very clean, updated, and well maintained inside and out, with spacious and spectacularly decorated rooms. Many rooms feature a balcony facing the serene river and park, perfect for a walk or a run. The service is exceptional and amazing, from an easy check-in to thoughtful staff. The location is in the heart of town within walking distance of great coffee, drinks, and food. A river walkway, beach, and a rooftop deck are great additions. The included continental breakfast is provided, though some guests expected more. It is a perfect place to visit the area or WOU.

Everything about this hotel was extraordinary. The service the food the complimentary bicycles that were known to us really made the trip worthwhile that we were on. We will definitely be back to take advantage of all the amenities at the small town.
