Grocery Outlet is a store for extreme value, where bargains are simply incredible. The deals can be pretty good, with great prices on most stuff and terrific selection on all-around food and specialty items. It is a good place to go on a budget. Shopping is always an adventure, with the anticipation of what new items might be found, including neat little non-food things. The selection can be a bit sketchy at times, and items may be in weird places, but the capable and sweet staff are helpful. It is not a great place for meat and is only so-so on produce.

Incredible prices, very friendly and helpful staff (who go out of their way to help you), revolving stock with some consistent basics, and even some local items. Always go here before overpriced Safeway or the corporate doomscape of Walmart. 5 stars easy.
