Charming historic home repurposed with care into a bed-and-breakfast. A set back into a better time, with a great shared social room downstairs and a wonderful host.

Wonderful stay in an old historic home within easy walking distance from center of town and Britt Garden. It's on a nice quiet side street in a pretty area and the gardens around the house were a nice place to relax in between wandering around town. Our host was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions with some amazing breakfasts. Will probably stay there again as we enjoyed Jacksonville. Mike and Sandy

A relaxing stopover on our way from Sonoma to Eugene Touvelle House's hospitality was impeccable Every detail was thoughtfully considered Breakfast was amazing- fresh juice and mini muffins, yogurt and fruit, waffles ala James Beard with real maple syrup Our rooms and bed were very comfortable with down bed topping and pillows, a view of the pool from our adjoining sitting room A large bathroom and shower All amenities were top tier including tissues, soaps and lotion And while a very serene setting, we were so convenient to town We will return for a longer stay in the future with friends and family

First time at TouVelle House.Exceeded our high expectations from furnishings to location and the food and hospitality are amazing.

I stayed this past weekend and it was absolutely wonderful! We had an amazing breakfast every morning cooked by chef James. We swam in the salt water pool which was so refreshing. They also have a hot tub and a sauna. The house is beautiful. Once you park your car you can walk everywhere in the quaint town of Jacksonville. I can't wait to return!

Touvelle House was a lovely spot of refuge as it was very hot the day we arrived for a 4 day stay. The room was cool and comfortable, and the pool was wonderful. We were fine with the absence of a TV in our room, but one night used the Apple TV in the library to stream a show we wanted to watch. Internet was very fast. The B&B is 3 blocks easy walk to the downtown and restaurants, good coffee, the best ice cream, and the Britt Festival. Also enjoyed that we were next door to a road that leads to a fascinating old cemetery that was also adjacent to a number of hiking trails. And for us, the adult-only policy was good. We are likely to stay there again, and considering renting the whole place with a family group.

Exceptional B&B! If you are thinking of staying in Ashland, stay here instead. The house and grounds are beautiful -- a fireplace in the main room to hang out, a library, excellent selection of tea, cookies, coffee. My room (Rouge River) was just amazing. It had a beautiful claw foot tub with original hardwood floors and views of a gorgeous pink & white flowering tree overlooking the grounds -- the whole experience was perfect from start-to-finish. James is an amazing host & chef -- breakfasts were the quality of a high-end brunch spot all included in the stay. Can't wait to come back!

Was there for 2 nights along with a lot of our family, we had the entire house. Yes, James and Kristen do an amazing job and the building is wonderful. I am still remember the quiche we had on the first morning OMG! It was one the best I've ever had. The beds were super comfy! Would definitely go back! Recommendations:If you have dietary restrictions be sure to let them know ahead of time so they can accommodate. This is an old building so the stair treads are higher then newer buildings so if you have any trouble climbing stairs this may not be the place. Do plan on having breakfasts! This very close to downtown Jacksonville. The living room is huge with lots of places to hang out in front of the fireplace and has a real old world feel to it. Enjoy!

Hidden gem. Absolutely lovely spot - beautiful, very clean, comfy beds, right off town but quiet. James and Kristen are incredible hosts. Breakfast is as good as any high end brunch spot in San Francisco or New York. Highly highly recommended!
