My mom, grandma, and I were traveling by ourselves tonight when our check engine light came on. We drove to the nearest town and found this place. The worker helped us check the oil level and then add oil to the vehicle. He went above and beyond to help us. I cannot recommend this place enough and thank you again to the kind worker that made sure we were safe tonight.

We stayed two nights while exploring the area, hiking around along the road to Leslie Gulch and checking out the Pillars of Rome. This is a remote area, and yet Basque Station Motel was very clean, pleasant and all we needed. Don't expect the amenities you would find at a more populated area, but if you want a clean room with a comfortable bed and great service, this is the place to start your adventure. The store next door was a help in a town without restaurants, and the Rock House a few steps away had breakfast burritos, pastries and coffee.

Stopped here from coming back from Spokane and going home to Nevada. Bed was soft, tv in room. Bathroom was nice. Kinda smelled but with the only motel within miles it didn't matter. There's a great coffee shop next door. I would stay here again.

I read through all of the reviews before making a decision. Cleanliness is our priority and not one complaint was a dirty room. I noted that the owner responded to travelers so I know they care. We are not concerned if a hotel is dated or lacking amenities. We want a clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom, and door front parking. This motel met all of our criteria. In fact, the entire toilet , though older, was cleaner than many of our hotel stays and no smell of mold in the shower. Here is a list of positives, contrary to some complaints, from our June 16, 2022 stay:*Friendly*Clean*Comfortable beds*Quiet*Room View a pretty field and old barn.*TV (satellite)*WiFi !!!!Gas, Car Service,& Grocery*$70 for 2 Full/Queen bedsCheck in is at the gas station. Remember, this person also works on cars and attends to the station. I perceive the employees of this business work hard, including housekeeping though I did not meet them. There is a survey in the room which again, tells me they care and will make changes, within reason, based on feedback. Thank you for a super pleasant stay Jim, or whomever runs this business.

Wasn’t going to rate this place but when I went to the restroom after filling up, I came out and the guy was cleaning my windshield. I was going to do it but totally forgot!! So thankful he did!!

I got a flat/leak on a very rocky road near town (Jordan Valley) on Sunday. I was able to drive to the station and asked if anyone was fixing flats and a very nice man answered, "yes". In the time it took my toddlers to eat an ice cream bar and for me to wash their hands and faces, the tire was fixed and back on my car. I'm so thankful for the service I received.

Pleasant motel & gas station. Best price on gas on the 95 and comfortable motel room. Convenient store for breakfast coffee 100 yards away. Met a cyclist riding from southern tip of South America to northern tip of North America. No noticeable road noise. Nice view out the window. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom. Good value.

Reasonably priced gas, although the bathrooms are really gross and the doors don't quite lock right.

Not NEARLY as run down and dumpy as reviews would have you believe.Hot water,a real tub, clean towels and functional AC after a day spent hitting the trails hard and all for a bargain price.I'm in a downstairs room but so far the fan covers up any excessive noise and not having to break out the camping gear in the rocky terrain is a blessing. Room and decor are straight from the 70s but at THIS price, who cares? I was in another chain motel last night and for the ten extra dollars it cost it was 80 plus miles away from the road to Silver City. This ISN'T. So win/win as far as I am concerned.

Yeah. The motel is a throwback to the early 1980s... but it’s cleaner than your typical Hotel. We walked into our room and realized Mr. Clean just vacated. Phone reservation, easy. Check in, friendly. Overall very happy after a hard long day of driving. Thank you for accommodating us (yes, they are pet friendly)! Good view of the sunset, small tv ( but we were so tired... it was never turned on), and pleasantly fast internet in an otherwise cellular-less town.Oh, pizza joint up the street was AMAZING. If I could leave a review I would, but I couldn’t google it?

This is a tiny little spot that is a perfect nights’ stay for visiting the Owyhee Canyon Lands. Super clean motel, easy access from hwy 95. We called a week out to make a simple reservation (they just took name and held a room). Checked in through the Sinclair gas station and got the key. Comfy beds up in 209, nice little view of some awesome rocks, quiet, and had all the very basics needed. No fridge, microwave or shampoo in here - but a very nice simple spot to crash for the night. There’s city wide wifi we were able to connect to (spotty at times…) and the cable box not working on the tv - but a fine place for the night when making the time and distance for the breathtaking and awe inspiring landscape right outside in the Owyhee. We have Verizon and are def off service network out here which seems likely for others. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a few nights stay if comfort if not camping over here. The rate was $70 for a double room as of our check in last night. The c-mart downstairs offers some deli type chicken, commercial domestic beers and snacks and was open after 9pm. There is an ice machine too. I’d go 5 stars if the tv had worked - it was a boring couple hours before nodding off with spotty wifi attempts. Otherwise awesome and may do a 2nd night depending!

Joe is my new hero! He replaced my damaged tire and took the time to do it well. Thanks also for inspecting my spare. You went above and beyond with my tight budget, and I love you. You too, Dave. Great place for tires.

I had a breakdown over an hour away from the shop and the guys worked tirelessly to help in any way they could even working until 1 am to get me back on the road for a big trip that I had only hours to spare to get too! I cannot thank them enough for their good spirits and problem solving that allowed me to get to back on the road in time to make my family trip!

We can't thank the folks at Sinclair enough for all they did for us when our Tundra pickup broke down at the end of Leslie Gulch two hours away from Jordan Valley on on some pretty rough gravel roads. Shout out to Evan and Pope who went out that same night to tow it back getting in after 2am. And another shout out to Evan who ordered the fuel pump and got it the next day and installed it. Thank you so much for your help, and communication. Also want to thank all the people who run the hotel and mini-mart who lent us their cell phone to make calls, and who let us stay at the hotel past our check out time in waiting for the Truck to be repaired. Great people in JV...can't thank them enough!!!!!
