“Fantastic range for safety and training. Want to shoot full auto in Salem? Come here! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Premium membership is expensive, however the ability to rent firearms for free, unlimited visits, and ability to bring a guest makes it worth it.

“Todd is the man! I drive over an hour to have him work on my guns. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. You won’t find another person more dedicated to meeting the customers needs and taking the time needed to produce a quality product . The low star reviews are from a bunch of whiners. I tell everyone if they need any gunsmithing, call Koonce Customs!”
“As an avid waterfowl hunter I'm no stranger to shotguns, but I was having a hard time hitting the targets, so I booked a lesson mid-season with Kim. She was absolutely phenomenal! I learned more from her in an hour than I have the last 3 years of hunting. She listened to my wants and goals, and tailored the lesson specifically to what I needed. She made it very fun and easy to learn. She also gave me some tips on what to work on next time I'm at the range by myself. I 100% recommend taking a lesson with Kim, and I plan on taking a lesson mid-season every year to keep brushing up on my shooting.”
“I'm a retired corrections officer that after 18 months due to boredom went back to work as a security enforcement officer.
Everything thing I've needed they've always had, and the customer service has always been phenomenal.”
“Excellent establishment for both experienced firearm owners and first-time buyers. The staff is knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to spend the time necessary to answer detailed questions without rushing the customer experience.
They also demonstrate strong technical proficiency in firearm diagnostics, repair, and malfunction troubleshooting — including semi-automatic pistol failure-to-feed and failure-to-eject issues.
Well worth the drive for the level of expertise and service provided.”

“Brought them an old mosin I got online so they could inspect it and check the headspace. Quick and cheap. Also brought in a 1911 that was malfunctioning in an odd way. They found the issue and solved it very cost effectively and stood behind their warranty. They seem knowledgeable and helpful. I will be taking all my firearms to them for service. They did inform me that they stay away from black powder revolvers however, so I will have to find someone else locally that can work on those”
“We have gone to Dan’s a few times now and Garret has been a great help every time. He’s very knowledgeable and has helped us pick out exactly what we needed. We love that it is a local small business but has great inventory. Highly recommend!”
