Good people for a good cause. This is a rare service in that it houses women and their children. My brother donated 45 lbs of squash here and they appreciated it.

The worst shelter ever everyone their is crazy the staff think they're better then everyone else. The roommates are trash sneaking in food ,men drugs alcohol it was horrible I can't believe I lasted 2 weeks !!! Since the first day I felt harassed and watched . Definitely will never recommend this shelter it's scary Definitely not a safe place.

I hate being homeless but am so glad these ladies are here to help . They are very kind and non judgmental. ? This is a Gospel mission so expect to be treated with respect. I drive 5hours to this shelter because of the staff. ?

A place of healing. And I found a very peaceful atmosphere at a time in my life where everything was crumbling around me.I was in despair, and I found refuge here, a place to stop and evaluate my life, a place of hope & encouragement.

They treated my sister and family bad. The place is not secluded and anybody including men go there so I wouldn’t called it a safe place

A valuable resource for women experiencing homelessness or in need of a safe, sober, clean living environment and support. Their guest services include meals, showers and clothing while their resident program helps women heal from past abuse, addictions and other issues and look forward to resuming a healthy, whole life in the community.Volunteers will find many opportunities to engage with the ladies and to help with the children as well. Its been a joy for me to help bring recovery meetings inside the facility and share hope and healing there.Donations are generally accepted by UGM Administration (monetary donations, etc.) and the UGM Donation Warehouse ( used or new good - both located on Commercial Street) but Simonka will take in some donations, especially food, at their location. Best way is to call ahead and speak to someone about what you want to donate and they can direct you to the best location for that! ?❤
