I have loved this place for years, the nails are good quality and the designs look good. However I was stuck waiting literally an entire hour before they sat me down and made me wait another 15 minutes. I didn’t even get my toes done like I originally booked because of how long it took them to even get a spot open. Unfortunately won’t be coming back after this experience, over an hour wait for a pre booked appointment is not justifiable in my books.

Came here because my regular nail tech was unavailable for an urgent last minute appointment, honestly I was pretty nervous because my previous experiences with salons were not good and I often left with lumpy nails. However, I got in right away and Lily did them so fast and perfect, she listened to all my requests and they came out exactly how i wanted!

Ok... sadly I'm not happy! I have been going to Solar nails in Keizer because when I first moved to Salem ten years ago, after trying almost every nail place in town, I knew I had found a gem! When I would go in monthly, it didn't matter who I got that day... They were all equally good! My last three visits I have been disappointed every time I left. Today's the first time in forever that I did not tip a nail tech.
I was a nail tech for 12 years, so I might be a Little picky, but not that much. The first time I got this older lady, my nails were ok, but not really what I wanted or described. The next time they gave me her again, so I was more specific about what I wanted. She said yes honey I know ... Then she proceeded to do them the exact same as the first time.
Today I took In a picture with me, hoping that would help whomever I got to see clearly what I wanted. They gave me the same lady..She got the color right today, but I literally left with short nails (that I never get as I show the length I want) And the thickest nails I've ever received! They look horrible! I am very very unhappy. I truly considered this place the best nail place that I had ever found.. now to leave this disappointed three times in a row is very upsetting. I pay good money to get them done, well.
I am so unhappy with them I don't even know what else to say!
I'm hoping it's just her and I can ask for someone else..but why do I feel like once I do that I'm going to get different treatment.
Where is the owner gal that sat upfront by the window on the left. When she was there This place ran a lot better!

I only just had my full set done on 8/16 so it has only been 3 days and I'm spending hours trying to fix these... nails!
I am attaching a pic of the picture that I took in to show exactly what I wanted and I'm also attaching a picture of my nails. So it's clear to see the difference. I really am not a super picky person but this has me very very upset. I've been wearing nails for the last 35 years. I spend money to do that because when I look down at my hands I want to see pretty nails. Just like almost every other one. And it is not a cheap thing to pay for is I am on a very limited budget. Now I have to pay someone to fix it.
I am not looking for money, that is not my thing. However, it would sure be nice of you to offer to give me a new full set of nails. With a different tech. I would think that that would be the least you'd want to do to a long time paying customer of 10 years.
I Guess we'll see.

This is hard for me to fit in because I love the result of my nails most times… However, there is not been a time that I’ve been in there that they have been on time.Q Been three times in a row where I’ve made an appointment that they’ve been running over an hour late… I told them I did not want to pay full price because my time as money as well and they do not like that so they would not serve me. But not recommend them if you’re on a time schedule.

i had the best girl do my nails today!! i wish i knew her name but she did so good on my nails & was so nice & friendly. I will definitely be going back for my next appointment :)

I’ve been going to solar nails in Keizer since for AT LEAST 15 years…. And they charged me an extra $15 for French tips….. now sure, I don’t mind. But I don’t think the quality matched. I hate my nails and spent 2 hours here. She saw the nails, I saw the nails. It was not up to par in my opinion. $75 base price wouldn’t bug me if I felt the quality was there. I know I should have said something RIGHT there….. but to spend more time.. I’m not sure but I’m not happy to be showing my nails around like this😢 coming only here since they were across the street and I was a kid. Just my heart is sad this time!

Nice worker I got in earlier than my appointment time. However, the process was done in a rush leaving some spot weren’t polished well and one of my fingers were bleeding because the worker buffed it too hard.

This was our worst experience getting a Pedicure. They told us 3 times to sit down before we chose our color. They didn’t have the color we wanted, so they seemed to be forcing us into a different selection that was 10.00 more each. My technician was rough and painful. Customer service rated a1. Conversation between technicians in a different language-rude.
Needless to say, I won’t be Returning!

I have been coming to this location for months now with my stepdaughter. There are several things wrong with this place and I'm feeling frustrated. Firstly, even with an appointment we're left waiting for 30-45 minutes because they overbook. Because of this, they tend to rush. The final product is inconsistent every time I come here. Crooked nails, some spots not painted enough, and wildly varying thickness of the nails are common. Some techs are great and others not so much.
Customer service is lacking. I like designs on my nails and I always feel like they're annoyed with me for wanting what's common nowadays. If they offer airbrushing, nail art, etc., why is it a problem when I ask for it?
The girl I had today was noticably angry because it took her forever to soak off my nails. She said they were very thick but I had them done here the month before so that wasn't something I should be punished for. She rushed and hurt me. She was in a bad mood the entire time and I felt stressed from it the entire appointment. The art she did turned out very nice but I don't think she used a topcoat so I'm hoping I won't have chipped paint to live with for weeks.

I will never spend another dollar at Solar Nails ever again. I've gone here a few times when not able to go to Portland or Eugene and they've always been rude and not done what I asked. I still paid and tipped. However, my daughter really wanted to get her nails done there for her birthday because everyone else always has a good experience. Which is also why I kept giving them a try. I figured maybe it was just those particular nails techs because everyone else's always looked so beautiful. So I made two appointments and when we came in this afternoon and then took my daughter but said that no one would do MY nails in particular and loudly like I had done something wrong or not paid. So for one I was embarrassed and for two they ruined having this experience with my daughter for her birthday. I have been getting my nails done for damn near 23 years and never have I ever been treated like that.
