Took my cat in to find out why he has been urinating in the house. Dr. Hughes spoke to me in the waiting area with other guests in the waiting area and was talking to me like I was stupid, wouldn't let me get a word in, and his delivery needs work. Very rude and should not have been discussed in the waiting area. I refused to do any of the tests he said "might tell us something" because he was so rude and unprofessional. Will never go here again and will never recommend to anyone.

On November 19th, my husband and I brought our senior Golden Retriever Ruby in unexpectedly because she wasn't doing well. We knew we were coming to the end of the road with her but we just didn't expect it to be that day. When we brought her in, everyone was incredibly kind. They spoke to us with so much compassion and let us know what was going on the entire time. Every single person we spoke with that day was incredible. Thank you for making such a tough experience, an educated experience filled with love and compassion. You all are wonderful and I know there are many great things about your work but I also know there are really really hard things to. Thank you for dealing with the hard stuff so well. We appreciate you all and we'll never forget it.

VCA River Rd was incredible. Friendly staff, went above and beyond to help my cat get the urgent care she needed. I am so beyond grateful for this experience. I will definitely be bringing my animals back for future visits.

Very efficient/professional/friendly/knowledgeable staff. I was able to get a rough quote of the tests and procedures before my pup saw the vet for her ear and eye issues. She is a much happier and healthier pup! The lobby is nice and there's guest wifi, which is great for longer (not too long, call ahead of you can) waits for urgent-care visits. We've been here a few times before, and with other pets (dogs and cats). I come back because I know my pet is going to be well treated and get the care they need.

The Vet was knowledgeable and caring and took extra time explaining the pros and cons of treatment options. Plus, went above and beyond to make Robbie more comfortable and less anxious about seeing the Doc. They sent a follow visit the next day. Kudos to the team.

Took my dog in for urgent care. Cost me over $600 and the vet never once put his finger on my dog in anyway. He did literally zero objective evaluation of my dog. He listened to the subjective information from a lay person that I told him, No vitals, No checking of teeth to see if that's why my dog wasn't eating. This guy must have been working on commission.Because all he cared about was making me buy stuff....... A couple weeks later I put my dog down. Didn't even get half way through the mess (which probably weren't needed). We will never know since I could have done the appointment over video call for all he did. Never touched the dog once. I'll never know if she could have been saved after a proper analysis.....

Great service and awesome staff. They called just to check up on our new kitten to make sure he was improving. We have an appointment set up next week for his final pokes. We look forward to taking him in again ☺️

After you’re done paying an arm and leg they will finally look at your animal. Then and only then will they look at it. They will squeeze every penny out and if they can’t will argue in front of other customers and tell you to “find somewhere else then” they charged me $160+ just to look at my furry feline, then an additional $100 just to hold her on the table and put 2drops in her eyes. All in All spent $260+ just for them to tell me she’s fine.

I cannot thank this vet clinic enough!! My 14 year old boy, Ziggy, was having troubles using the bathroom, and I couldn’t get him in to be seen anywhere. While my regular vet of 2+ years couldn’t be bothered to keep their phone number in service or check their emails, this vet clinic was able to see us right away.
The staff is incredibly compassionate and kind, plus they see urgent care clients in the order of urgency, which I greatly appreciate! It took several hours to get my boy all fixed up, but considering all of the emergencies I saw come in, I’m just surprised it didn’t take longer. This team really does amazing work!
Before his appointment, Ziggy was cowering under the couch in pain, but by this evening he was already feeling better and asking to go on a walk! He is back to rolling on warm sidewalks, sniffing flowers, and using the bathroom like a champ thanks to the fantastic team here 👍

The staff and Veterinarian were so nice, thoughtful, thorough and extremely efficient! We were seen immediately and within minutes the Veterinarian came out to consult with us. We were in and out in less than an hour!

Techs were all super nice but everything was overcharged, and their only payment plan is through their card? Anyway, we were there for 3 1/2 hours for our cat to be fine

The vets and techs here are amazing. Everyone takes the time to make sure your pet is happy and comfortable and they thoroughly explain any issues, offering multiple solutions.
