So many artifacts that were acquired illegally. This is a private gallery, not a publically funded museum.

This is a gem.A wealth of high quality items beautifully displayed. If you are cool to museums, you'll easily spend an hour without boredom. If you love history, paintings, ancient technology, cultural artifacts, sculpture, ... they'll have to pitch you out when they close.Admission (2023): $10, or $9 for kids, seniors, veterans. Plentiful free parking. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.Highly recommended.

Best displayed collection that I know of (private or tax payer funded) in the U.S. Collection extends far beyond the Klamath basin. There are arrowheads, grinding stones, baskets, beads and other lithic artifacts from the Columbia River California, Nevada and Beyond! For anyone with even a basic interest in Native American art and artifacts, this museum is a must! Their collection of miniature Firearms is excellent as well.

I visited Favell in 1991 and 1992.Not sure of dates. Many years ago.Was wonderful!!My most memorable memory was of the tiny gun collection. And the ancient arrowheads. The entire museum is extraordinary!!And I have visited many museums, in different states.I purchased a tall, gorgeous, SOUTHWESTERN style, color, vase.Glad you are still open for each new generation to appreciate.

We heard about this museum while visiting in the Joseph area. It’s a wonderful tribute to the Native American history and highly educational. Very glad we set aside time to spend here.

A huge collection of arrowheads and other Native American artifacts such as baskets and warrior garb. More arrowheads than you have ever seen and many Indian tools and weapons. No photos allowed in the exhibit/ The one uploaded is from a display at the city visitor center about a block away. Disturbing to see how the original people of this country lived, and their entire culture wiped out and disrupted by white European settlers. How they were chased and pushed out of their native lands. Their fishing in the West was totally ruined by all the dams put up on the rivers. Very sad. A young man at the door was masked and gave us a verbal description of what we would see and what direction to walk the exhibit. It was annoying that a female employee, who seemed to be a manager, kept popping in and out with the masked young man, but not wearing one herself! Unacceptable since masks are mandated now.

It was OK, kind of small. Mostly pictures, arrowheads, and even an art exhibit of people wearing Sari's and Indian clothes from India, (the country), not sure what that had to do with Klamath county, but they were all for sale. Not a very interesting place imo.
