They do absolutely everything to make you feel welcome!

“We spent the most fabulous two days here. My 18yo daughter and I wanted to get away for a quick mommy-daughter retreat and this was the right distance from Bend. Monica and Bobbie went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and it was greatly appreciated. We stayed in the 8-plex with the soaking tub, brought up movies from the lobby, and stayed in the whole time doing craft projects and watching movies. We will definitely be back again!”

“As with all budget motels, I'm not expecting Hilton or Marriott quality, just a place to stay the night, however, A-1 Budget-Motel pleasantly surprised me! My room (127) was well cleaned, very large, and had a full kitchen without a stove! The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was clean and warm. I greatly appreciated the fact that the walls were decorated with various mirrors and paintings, which made such a large room quite nice to stay in.

Walkability: Very close to Oregon Tech campus, so most campus facilities are within walking distance.

Food & drinks: The hotel coffee was good, but they only had powdered creamer.

Jalepeño's Taco Shop less than a mile away has amazing food at great prices!

Noteworthy details: Huge rooms for the price!”

“The hotel has a large lobby & breakfast room. Check in was a breeze and the gentleman at the counter was kind & courteous, he went over breakfast hours, room location, wifi, pool and hot tub info and asked how our trip is going. We were given the option of 1st, 2nd or 3rd Floor which was nice. We chose ground level this time, our room was small but cozy perfect for us. There was a decent sized bathroom, a queen bed, closet, desk, tv, fridge & microwave. The room had a bench seat in the window which I loved. I chose to hang out there for a bit. It was comfortable and we could see our vehicle from the window.
The bedroom had a large mirror as a backdrop with bright lights, it was perfect for someone to do their makeup if the bathroom was in use etc.
The bed was comfortable, and we had plenty of pillows. The down side of the rooms being small is you can hear the tv from the next room through the walls. And unfortunately for us the alarm clock from the opposite room that went off from about 530 - 930ish when housekeeping went in and shut it off. The only other issue w3 ran into was the side door closest to our rooms key reader was down so we had to walk around to get back in the building.
The location was great for our trip and the hotel was clean and nice, and the staff was all friendly. Overall a good experience.”
