Horrible internet company!! Love paying 70 bucks a month for "high speed" internet that randomly shuts off every other day. Can't ever get a hold of these people either! Unprofessional!!!!

I have had excellent customer service when ever I've had a problem they always either inform me that there's a problem with a tower, or they fix it by sending a boost or something. although lately we've had a lot of slow internet and in the evenings it seems maybe their system is overloaded. Great for the price though, so if you want internet and not spend $50/month minimum, go with Steel net.

They do not send out paper bills and on occasion will send an email bill. They don't return phone calls. You can not pay on line or with any bill pay account. You have to print off the invoice (if you get it), address an envelope and send a check in the mail. It is an extremely inefficient billing system. I don't have options because of the location where we live or I would change. The actual internet is usually pretty good. Goes down a few times a year and has been down for 3 days at a time.

They continually have problems even though they say they have "fixed them". I have had Steelnet for around a year now, and I have had nothing but trouble with them. Even now I specifically asked them to call me and update me on the situation, that was a week ago btw, and haven't had even a single message from them. They are a terrible company who doesn't deserve my or your business.

Wish I could give less than one star. The receptionist (I believer her name was Jennifer) was Very rude and delivered the worst customer service experience i have ever had. My service has been down for over a week which I could live with. However, when asked when I could have it fixed, I get constant excuses and uncertainty. This is a very poorly run company.

When we first signed up, they were great. That was years ago though - for the last 3-4 years, service has been spotty and the speed is 1/10 what it used to be. We have connection problems all the time and nothing but excuses from customer service. I would drop them completely but we're in a blind spot for every other ISP and unfortunately crappy internet is better than no internet at all.

Steelnet was a big jump for me going straight from a 28.8k AOL dialup line to a supposed 5m down/ 3m up. For the first 6 months, it was absolute bliss, considering where I live. Able to stream HD Youtube, Netflix, download files quickly, the whole load. However from there it began to slow down. I notcied webpages slowing down a bit, Youtube would default to SD quality and Netflix would buffer a lot. I called them and asked, and they said that they were planning some upgrades to help with the speed. However no improvements have happened, and now having no more than 512k down/ 256k up is a common daily occurrence. Except for the fact that I literally have no other options, I would leave this ISP right away.
