Mike, the owner operator of The Ledge, is the best. He is always trying to bring the best of new equipment whether it’s for climbing, hiking or kayaking. And he has a lot of stuff right in the store plus he has a warehouse where he keeps the overflow! I bought a Bonafide kayak from a number of years ago from him. Still a great boat.
I was in there today looking for kayak with a peddle drive. He had several with great drives and better prices than I remember. He also had a 13 foot, Eddyline Sand Piper that was just a sweet looking machine. Long and sleek, just beautiful. I think I’m going to start saving my nickels so I can buy that Sand Piper before summer slips by.

What's not to love about The Ledge? It has a convenient downtown location, a classy, yet relaxed decor, and it's full of carefully selected, high quality gear. What makes The Ledge a community treasure though, is the owner, Mike. With extensive outdoor experience in a full range of activities, Mike generously shares his knowledge as it applies to gear and will artfully guide you to just the thing you need to thoroughly enjoy your next adventure. I was recently in need of new boots for fieldwork and Mike pointed me towards a brand and style he had personally worn on several rugged trips and shared his experiences. Based on his guidance and advice I now have feet happily at home boots I'm sure will last several years. When and if they wear out, I'll be sure to head back to The Ledge.

This store owner was amazing, we forgot the pump for our paddle board 16 hours away, and he kindly lent us his to fill up our equipment. What kinds of neat stuff in the store. Definitely worth a check out!

I had a phenomena's experience at The Ledge today. Mike was extremely knowledgeable, helpful without being pushy and reminded me what a treasure he is to have in our community. I will always make him my first stop now before going to any other outdoor stores.

I don't know how to write a raving review without sounding so heckin' cliché, but this is my story.
My experienced ocean kayaking boyfriend brought us here with the intention of gifting me a kayak! Please note I've been canoeing once in my life. To say I tried to be overwhelmed is funny because new things are much to process, and it was a stop while we were in town kinda vibe. That feeling was immediately squashed by the pure intention and love placed about the store. Clearly, and without understanding of the skill, we walked into a leader, teacher, and master of all things kayaking shop!
One hour later I had an ocean kayak for 2, 2 paddles, whistles for our life vests, straps, and many lessons! The owner so kindly took their time ensuring I was equipped in the right life vest. That we had the right length poles. That we knew how to attach our seats to the kayak! How to care for our kayak! We even learned how to strap our kayak!
It has been a little over a month and we have been to 1 lake and 1 creek. I've witnessed more in those 2 adventures, outdoors, on the water, than the four years I've spent traveling the west coast!
Thank you kindly for sharing your time, skill, knowledge, energy, passion, and love with everyone who is brave enough to try the unknown!!
When we have any water needs, within your specifications, yours is the place my boyfriend and I will be visiting!

Mike is incredible and the Ledge is a treasure to have downtown! Not only is he knowledgeable about the high-quality products he sells, he's also got a great knowledge base on the kind of adventuring you're interested in. You know you're getting advice from someone who has already walked in your shoes (literally, I bought the hiking boots that he suggested). Great products, a great place in KFalls to purchase gifts, and he has pipes and cigars as well! Something for everyone on every adventure/leisure level!

Mike runs a great little outdoor store with a good variety of really top-quality products. Seasonal variety to gear you up for whatever is happening in Klamath today. Buy quality outdoor gear once and it'll last you a long time (or forever if you buy the socks with the lifetime guarantee)!
