Huge shout out to Les Schwab La Grande. On our way from Boise to Walla Walla yesterday, we stopped in Baker City for breakfast. Picked up a screw in front left tire. Jumped on the freeway and the tire warning light came on almost immediately. We barely made it to the rest area and found a shady spot (in 100 degree heat) to put the emergency spare (donut) on. Limped into La Grande at 50 mph. Les Schwab was doing the biz with all bays full. Still, they got us right in, fixed the tire, and we were on our way in 30 minutes. Just the friendliest group of folks on the team there. And pride in workmanship....those things you just don't see much any more. THANK YOU SO MUCH for saving the day! You guys rock!

You already know this, but calipers are designed to last far longer than pads and rotors and don't need to be replaced with them. It's simply a revenue booster.
Prices are outrageous. They "suggest" repairs you don't need and charge a premium you shouldn't have to pay for. For example: I heard a rubbing noise around the front passenger side brake pads that turned out to just be the wear indicator and they printed out a "worst case" solution, some being replacing calipers on other wheels that had nothing to do with it (yes really).
$500 for front brakes, which is absolutely ridiculous, but they force a caliper replacement that the vast majority of people absolutely do not need, so they can charge that extra sneaky premium.
$800 for a front wheel bearing replacement for a newer Carolla, which is also ridiculous because it's maybe three more bolts and the axel nut beyond doing the brakes that are already extremely easy.

I can't thank this store enough!! Our daughter set off on her first solo trip across three states. We were already nervous as parents, but when she called to let us know the ball bearing went out in her left front tire several hundred miles away, we were concerned.
Les Schwab in Baker didn't have the part, but took the time and found another Les Schwab in La Grande that did have it.
It was toward the end of their day, but the La Grande store waited 45 minutes for her to arrive and had the part fixed and had her on her way within an hour of her arrival.
What a relief for us as parents!!
Way to go Les Schwab!!! We are so impressed and Grateful!!

I went to this location with no appointment, and no money. Travis went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. He embodies all of the traits you want to see in an amazing service technician. I will only take my cars here from now on.

You want excellent local service? Come to this Les Schwab! Travis immensely helped out our family when we needed it. My husband was replacing our rear brakes and couldn’t get our E-brake notification to stop going off. Travis helped us out no questions asked. He saved us so much time and stress and we are thankful to have this company in our community.

Got a flat that destroyed one of my snow tires while on vacation. They didn't have a direct replacement, but came up with a good option to get me back on the road.

I won't go into all the details but suffice to say Caleb Bowen saved our bacon (and it was good bacon) this last weekend and I cannot express how awesome an experience it was! Needed seasonal change over and was out in 30 minutes. No appointment! Excellent staff. Wonderful attendant. Was on it, got it done, and I was out of there. Glad I had purchased studded tires on there own wheels sometime back, for that decision has served me well. Got them here of course. Buy all my tires here.
