I’ve eaten a lot of burritos in my life. Their Carne Asada is my favorite beef burrito. One particular fresh picante sauce they make pairs so well with it.

It is a good place to get Mexican food in a hurry. Needs to be cleaner. The salsa bar often does not have small to go cups for sauce and looks unkept.

Grocery store, authentic Mexican - seems like a hidden gem. Serve yourself - speak Spanish - very considerate. Makes you want to learn their language.

Best butchery to buy carne asada in the area. Their little restaurant has delicious food as well. They also have Pan Dulce and all the other Mexican food items you might expect to find in a Mexican grocery store.

Great selection in the butcher shop. Marinated meats are fantastic. Produce is cheaper than the majority of chain stores, and better quality too. The little restaurant within is also fantastic, we stop here to grab breakfast burritos frequently. They are all made and ready to go in the hot case. These are authentic breakfast burritos, so if you’re expecting something chuck full of eggs bacon and hashbrowns, come here and try something new. Premade salsas in the cold case are actually spicy which is appreciated!

I ordered a plate of carnitas, they had no flavor, they were very greasy, they tasted like boiled pork, nothing special, the cashier is very rude and apathetic. the store is big and has many interesting things but with the attitude of the lady i prefer to go to mac to the mexican stores there.

I eat here a lot. The food is always fresh and delicious. Your order usually comes out fast, making it a perfect place to grab lunch during the work week. And don't forget it is a pretty good-sized store with a full meat department if you wanna pick stuff up to cook at home.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs.

Their fresh produce and fresh butchered meat products are second to none in the area!Prices are also VERY competitive!Be prepared to encounter a lack of English comprehension and the nuisances involved with that. It is annoying for all parties involved but the quality of the food is more than worth the hassle! All the ingredients for your meal are fresh from the store this fine eatery resides in! It is unusual to experience fine dining in a grocery store but treasure can be found anywhere. One simply must look!Definitely some of the best chow on the west coast and it is cheaper than drive through which is almost incomprehensible! If anything will “drive” you to learn Spanish as a second language it will be your tastebuds pleading with your primitive brain to do so you can master ordering food from this place.Si! es tan jodidamente bueno!(Side effects include a loud guttural salute every time someone says “tacos”, flavor flashbacks, and intense yearning. Come back for more and remember your Google Translate app if symptoms persist)

This is the only real grocery market in Lafayette and we live within walking distance. We first had issues with ordering food to go. We’d call our order in about 30 minutes before they close the kitchen and got told it was too late by an angry man. The second time we called 45 minutes before closing, and were told the same thing, with the same angry tone, by the same angry man, so we decided we’d never eat here. We take our Mexican food cravings to Maria’s. They love taking our order no matter what time we call and their food is great! We stop here throughout the week for odds and ends when we catch them open. They close before dark I believe around 7:30 or 8pm. We love supporting family owned businesses. We also come from families with Latin decent so we eat a lot of Mexican foods and what better place to shop for Mexican ingredients than a Mexican market?! We had our grandbabies for a wknd and they came with a cough. My husband seen it was still early enough for them to be open and popped in for a few things and cough syrup. No listed prices for the medications on the shelves, but how bad could it be. $30 for cough syrup from Mexico. We decided to take it back although they closed right after leaving so we had it in a bag in the counter for the next chance we caught them open which happened to be today almost 30 days after purchase. When the cashier told my husband no they would not do a refund he asked to speak to the manager. The cashier informed him he was busy so he decided to wait for him. The manager came over with a bad attitude and said they would not accept a return because the medicine was from Mexico (did your grandmother smuggle it across the boarder like a holocaust ring or what is so special about cough syrup from Mexico that makes this non refundable ?). He also said he wouldn’t return it because it was ALMOST 30 days since we purchased it. Didn’t offer a store credit or anything. Just straight up no it’s from Mexico and it’s almost been 30 days. Is there a 30 day policy or and almost 30 day policy? Maybe post something in Spanish and English and learn some customer service. Worst Mexican market I’ve ever been to. Such a shame they have to be jerks. Lost us as a customer twice! Walmart is 5 minutes away and has better manners!!! That says a lot. Their cough medicine is FDA approved and refundable, but also doesn’t cost $30. I recommend you go to Walmart and stay away from the rude customer service they have here.

This is an update to add my review for the grocery section of this store. A few weeks ago we had our grandchildren for the weekend and they came with a cough. This is the only real market in Lafayette and we live really close so my husband went to see if they had cough syrup. No prices listed for the medicine on the shelves. He finds out that it costs $28 for a regular bottle of children's cough syrup on the receipt. Probably worth $10 In Mexican where it came from. We decided to hold on to it and take it back our next stop for some groceries. We work out of town in Washington and they close before dark, so that ended up being today almost 30 days after purchase, but not 30 days. The box was unopened and looked brand new you can tell we did not tamper with it. The cashier said no return so my husband asked to speak to the manager whom was busy so he waited to see him. He was rude and said because it was from Mexico we could not return it and also threw in there that it was ALMOST 30 days recognizing that they have a 30 day return policy which isn't posted anywhere in English or Spanish. They lost us as customers 100%. Rude service in both their food window and their grocery area. I've never been to a Mexican market with such poor customer service as this place. We actually prefer the family atmosphere they usually have. This one is ran by a family, but they don't want their customers to feel that way. Safeway and walmart are 5 minutes away and that's where I recommend you go.

This is a grocery store, not restaurant. They do have takeout buffet.Fresh and ready to cook meats - Mexican style cuts. Fresh cheese, produce, etc. Huge selection of spices, marinades, sauses.

Good but greasy!Food was good but greasy, atmosphere was laid back, and overall service was nice.If you have a sensitive stomach I would avoid it cause of the heavy seasonings and grease.

Authentic Mexican market! The Al Pastor Preparado is to die for! Asada is also amazing!!! We'll continue to drive 30 minutes one way to shop there for meat! And we continue to travel here for our BBQ meat!
