The handyman service is dishonest and disappointing. Advertisement states free quote. We were given a quote of $200 for the entire project. Was told will be <2 hours to complete. The work is half way complete and $400 charged to our credit card already.

Generally, I love ACE Hardware because if the excellent customer service. Today I went to the Lake Oswego ACE for water softener salt. Its located in the back room so you need to have an employee get it for you. I waited for nearly 10 minutes while an employee had a personal conversation with a lady he knew. He paid no attention to me and kept on with the conversation. I left frustrated and headed to Home Depot.

Ryan helped me order a new Green Egg and cabinet. When it arrived they delivered and assembled it at my home. Blake and Ryan did a great job setting it up. Excellent service and communication.

Bought a lock here recently — the quality is excellent! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the store is well-organized with a great selection of hardware and tools. Always a reliable place to find what I need quickly. Highly recommend Lake Oswego Ace Hardware!

I went there looking for something they likely didn’t have, but I wasn’t reading it when I came in while the person right behind me was great it warmly. I wasn’t asked if I needed to help as I wander around for over 10 minutes. And then as I left, the main cashier threw up a hand to wave by, but didn’t say a word to me. I watched him be friendly and greet every other person so it may be a little…targeted? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised being Black in Lake Oswego, but thought I should give a heads up to any other black people who may be in the area.

The Store Manager, Ryan, was extremely helpful at repairing a training wheel on my grandson's bike. He took the piece back into their workshop, worked his magic in 3-4 minutes and presto! It was fixed and my grandson was thrilled (and so was I!). Thank you, Ryan.

Amazing customer service today when I called October 4th about pool noodles for my girls hotsprings trip. Everywhere was out at least 6 places I tried and Amazon wouldn'thabe gotten here fast enough. Called and instantly was told nope out of season all gone. I made a desperate FB post asking if anyone had any leads. One lovely lady advised I try Lake Oswego Ace as they have great customer service. I called and was greeted immediately by Rob who said you know we have them put away upstairs for the season but if you hold on I'll see if I can still access them. Rob comes back and says how many do you need. He pulled down 6 for me. Even asked if I had a color preference. I picked them right up and they were waiting for me at the front of the store. It's customer service like this I'll never forget. Going the extra mile. He could have easily told me no but he didn't even for a $30 sale. Stay Golden Rob?
