About Lake Oswego DMV
The Oregon DMV is a busy place that handles a high volume of customers daily. Many reviews mention long wait times, especially during peak hours, with waits often lasting around 45 minutes or more without an appointment. The DMV is located in a mall, which provides nearby places to pass the time, such as outlets, pizza, ice cream, and nail salons. Despite the long waits, some customers have experienced friendly and professional service from staff members who are courteous, kind, and patient. Several reviews highlight specific employees who went above and beyond, with one praised for being very helpful and making the process smooth, and another described as extremely kind and helpful during a stressful moment. However, customers also report issues related to the system and protocols. Staff work under strict policies that prevent overtime and enforce a hard stop at 5 pm, which can lead to staff leaving early and impatient, waiting room environments. Many mention difficulties with online registration, which can be ineffective and cause delays, as paperwork often must be mailed and frequently gets returned due to errors. This process can be frustrating for healthcare workers and others with tight schedules, as it makes timely registration and licensing difficult. Overall, the Oregon DMV is seen as a place where staff are generally friendly and helpful, but the high volume, strict policies, and inefficient online systems contribute to long waits and occasional dissatisfaction. Customers appreciate when staff are kind and professional, making the experience more manageable despite the challenges.

Donna was a tad late due to traffic in Portland. Happy I was able to purchase the Pacific Wonderland license plate and passed eye exam and an Oregon. DMV workers name was MO!
