I came here on a beautiful evening in Portland and really enjoyed sitting out in the patio overlooking the lake. You order at the counter with food brought out later. I opted for a grilled cheese which was served with prosciutto, honey and red pepper flakes which really hit the spot. I didn't check out the theatre but great spot for a meal on the water.

The signage they display on their kiosk is vulgar and explicit. I will no longer go to this theater.

So nice I came twice, and brought friends the second time. Tickets for Dune 2 were fairly inexpensive and seating was more than sufficient. I cannot recommend Lake Theater & Cafe more!

One of the few true GEMS! You get both the water view AND the best pizza I've ever had! Their salads and bowls are fresh and delicious! Great venue for music and movies, but we go for the FOOD! Minus one star because when we came, there were no other customers, but the bar tender couldn't bother bringing us our cocktails. He was not very friendly.

The pizza is amazing! A must try. Also, trivia night weekly on Wednesday is a lot of fun!

This was my first time seeing a film at the Lake Theater, although I have been previously to see live music. I adore the cozy modern vibe of the space, the comfortable seating, and the little touches of humor throughout the decor.Unfortunately the food does not live up to the clever and appealing ingredient lists on the menu (or the pricing). The burger and salads we ordered were surprisingly bland, although the parmesan oregano fries were more flavorful. The thing that really puzzled me was the food system during the movie. Orders are signaled as ready by a puck with bright flashing blue lights. In the first 20 minutes of the movie, there are a lot of orders that become ready and are super distracting. Compounding this, there is a walkway and exit in the upper section that many people use to pick up food and return to their seats. This is close enough to the ceiling that anyone using it blocks the projectors path to the screen and hides part of the movie from the entire theater (including subtitles).I’m leaving a five star review here since I like what the place is aiming for, but the owners could certainly improve the experience greatly with a few tweaks.

Don't let the 1-star-givin' Karens and Darrens of the world dissuade you from eating at the best spot around. The food and drinks here are exceptional, not just good, and rotate regularly depending on local ingredients' seasons. This is exactly the sort of spot you want to support: They work with very small family farms for a lot (most?) of their ingredients; the menus are well-designed and have options for everyone; the drink menu is similarly bangin' every time; a clever sense of humor finds its way into everything, and they're good peeps.

Came to see a movie here with my boyfriend. The atmosphere is top tier compared to the chain movie theaters. Tickets were much cheaper compared to Regal. They have a full bar, so you can enjoy cocktails or other drinks in the movie. Seats were comfortable. Good popcorn. Didn't try the restaurant while I was here, but it appeared nice with an average menu selection.

I'd like to say a few things:1. The food here is amazing. Worth every penny. Good flavour, good portions, interesting and well-executed options, and great service to boot!2. The setting is lovely. Lake front patio, great for a peaceful summer afternoon with a good cocktail.3. Unrelated to the food and service, the marquee out front always says something hilarious and it makes my morning commute!Keep up the great work guys!

I had never had brood before. Man, was it good. A richly flavored broth swimming with savory greens, pasta and pork. This is a great place for a movie but it can be an expensive movie if you bring the family.

Love this cafe/theater! Such a fun night out. Recently saw Barbie here with my 16 y/o daughter and we had a great time eating dinner while watching the movie. I had a steak salad and she had pizza and both were really good.

Great place to grab dinner and a movie. Their pizza is my favorite in SW Portland - light, crispy, and flavorful.
