The Leaburg Store is a beloved convenience store owned and operated by a local family, serving the McKenzie River community since 1920. Since October 2021, new owners Jon and Jerri-Jo Payne have taken over, bringing a friendly and caring attitude to the store. Jon, a seasoned river guide with over 25 years of experience, and Jerri-Jo, a retired nurse and IT professional, are dedicated to supporting the community and travelers alike. The store offers a wide range of snacks, drinks, household staples, and hot food to go, including handmade burritos and chicken sandwiches. Customers consistently praise the friendly staff, exceptional service, and the inviting, clean atmosphere. Many mention the store's beautiful history and the cozy feeling that the walls convey. It is a reliable stop during bad weather, with friendly staff always ready to help with directions and recreation tips. Facilities are highly appreciated, especially the spotless bathrooms, which are large and well-stocked with soap and pumice hand cleaner. The store also features a good selection of fresh bait, Umpqua Dairy products, and other essentials, often at reasonable prices. Visitors enjoy browsing the store at their leisure, noting the welcoming environment and homemade, affordable food. Overall, The Leaburg Store is recognized as a charming, well-maintained community hub that offers more than just essentials—it’s a place where travelers and locals alike feel valued and cared for.
Amazing, friendly, and inviting people. Clean restrooms with great market items, including a large selection of cold craft beers with mixed 6-packs available. It also has a little bit of whatever you need and cooked food menu. Would highly recommend it, and if I ever pass that way again, I will definitely make a stop.

The owners have always been really good to me. They have fresh bait most of the time which is great since that's why I'm up there it's to go fission. He took my picture one year and put it in the local paper there. But I've always enjoyed their grab and go stuff. They've had a good selection.
