“My mechanic referred me here for transmission work, and I am very thankful for the consistent communication I was met with. Jason helped me from the beginning — he stayed with me the whole time. I felt very confident in Jason working on my car because of his open communication. He didn’t try to upsell me anything, and he was clear with what he would do with the car before moving forward with any test/repair.I needed a new transmission for my car. He found a new one and a used one and gave me the AAMCO price for both. I found one through a different company, and he explained the warranty policies of AAMCO. He allowed me to bring in a third-party part upon my understanding of the policy.I had new fluid and a filter I recently bought in the passenger seat of the car, and Jason used those things. I did not have to buy all new fluid/filter/etc from AAMCO. Very kind.I was back and forth on the phone with him due to price matching of different transmissions and other things. He was so patient and helpful. Seriously I was blown away. I have a bit of fear entrusting a stranger with big car repairs because of my lack of knowledge on car specifics and past experiences of mechanics adding a bunch of unnecessary repairs to rack up the cost. Jason did not do this. He was clear, straightforward, and there was no underlying demeaning tone. If I didn’t understand something, he just kindly explained it.Very grateful for the help I received from this place, and I recommend it to anyone in the area.”

They did same test competitor did and found that competitor was wrong. Moreland found out what was really going on, fixed it, and was amazingly fair on the price in 2 days! Thank you for not taking advantage of my 17 year old daughter and being honest, fair and speedy!”

“I am updating my review. My 2006 HD. Was having issues transmissions. They determined that it was the transmission control module. They recommended a I go to the local dealer and get a new transmission control module and have it reflashed. Because they couldn't do that. I could not buy a new one at the dealer because they're a national backwarder so I found a used module. Took it to the local dealer and it was a terrible experience at the local dealership service center. I talk to Dan and his crew. Because the dealer also found an issue with the tow hall button on my truck. Dan felt so bad how I was treated off his recommendation to go to the local dealership. He worked with me on the installation of the new tow hall button. I highly recommend Dan's automotive performance. They're local they backup whatever they do and they really care about their customers. Sometimes there's mistakes made in automotive industry and this company is willing to talk with their customers dig down and figure out the problem. I highly recommend that you go and spend your hard earned money at this facility.Service: Transmission”

The only downside was checking PSI after install that night and tire pressure was all over the place (50, 80, 64, 57) ;-P Please double check your pressures!”

And you know most mechanics would just sweep under a rug and heat round the bush but not Lacomb mechanic.I always find myself supporting local business instead of going corporations like Napa, etc etc. their prices are very reasonable too, and Lastly they do excellent work.They even communicated with me through out the process they did on my truck and made me felt like I was a part of the fixing process. “We’ve been bringing our cars to Jose for 10 years now and he has always done an outstanding job for us . We have had 2 transmission instaled on 2 different rigs we own, over the years and we have our Lube Oil Filter type maintenance on all our cars done with Jose, plus a few things in between and never once has he let us down. His quality of work is as good as anyone’s and his follow up with you and the job he has does is second to none , and I can say he cares about people and shows it with good work ethic and good follow up customer service and he knows his way around the car repair industry to get the best deal in parts for your car and he works to save you a little money when he can. I give him 5 stars all the way. Our family goes to none other , unless Jose suggests a better option. Now that’s the kind of mechanic you hope you can find .”
