“Love the classes offered by other artists. They are almost always for beginners as well as more experienced artists. It is, at its best, a friendly creative place to make art. I also love that you can buy original art, often chat with the artist, and know that in addition to getting art at a great price, you are also supporting an artist. And that the artist is not having to pay half the cost of the art to the gallery or the middleman.”

“Prehistoric is a place I genuinely enjoy visiting. I’m a knit pattern designer, and I tend to notice texture, structure, and natural detail wherever I go, which makes this gallery especially interesting to spend time in.
The fossils and minerals are impressive, and many of the pieces feel far more complete than what you typically see in museums. Everything is well displayed, and it’s easy to take your time and really look at the details. Each visit feels a little different depending on what catches your eye.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions without making the experience feel rushed. The gallery itself is clean, well organized, and thoughtfully laid out.
I make a point to stop in whenever I’m in the area, and cracking a geode has become a small tradition for me. If you appreciate natural history, beautiful objects, or just want to see something unique, this is well worth the visit.”
“Fantastic gallery style thrift store full of unique second hand treasures. I’ve visited numerous times over the years and the owners are always very pleasant and knowledgeable with a wide array of merchandise. Also, the prices are great! I purchased a mint condition collectible signed Pillin vase well below its retail value recently. This is an excellent place to find what you didn’t even know you were looking for!”
