This is a nice local grocer that has all the supplies need to keep the crew fed and energized. They have all of the regular items, including a decent fresh produce section. It's not as big as a Safeway, but it is clean and convenient. Howard helped us out on both of our visits this trip and he was very nice and efficient.

I wanted to get on here and do a shout shout out for this market we stayed for 4 days and we didn't feel like cooking so we shopped here and They had a special for a huge boneless rib eye weighing 10 pounds for $7.95 a pound and they would cut the big roast up for you... We got there 10 minutes before 6 and we thought the butcher was there until then but we didn't realize it until afterwards that he was actually off around 3:30 but he went out of his way to cut our meat anyway and to perfection and also individually put one in each pack for us since we were splitting the big roast ...the employees were very sweet here and helpful.. We will be returning customers for sure

I love McKays for a lot of reasons. Their prices are extremely fair. Their meat and produce are always high quality. I am a real fan of the bulk mushroom bins, and they always have the nicest pork chops I've seen in my life. They have crazy sales during the Meat Bonanza every month, which makes feeding my family on a budget lots easier. Having tried the fried chicken everywhere else in town and been fully disappointed, I have to give a shout out to their hot deli, too, for providing me with crispy, perfect fried chicken. And, last but not least, McKays is an employee owned business, so I know I'm supporting a business model actually ~worth supporting~ when I shop there, rather than feeding the corporate monster that is Safeway.

This is the 2nd McKay's we've visited. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean store. They were selling $1.98 for a bunch of fresh asparagus when we were there. Much cheaper than at Safeway. Some of their items were priced higher but others are pretty good.

I would think that McKay's Market, being 100% employee owned, would be customer focused. On a recent shopping trip we received bad service (actually no service as she wandered away from the counter) in the deli, and indifferent service by the cashier. Being a small chain of stores one would think they would emphasize service to a competitive advantage. They do not.

When we stay in the Nelscott area of Lincoln City, this is where we always grocery shop. It a full grocery store, but smaller and more friendly than Safeway. Everything you from beer, wine to produce and a deli.

Came into town for Labor Day weekend, during the power outage this was one of the few opened. Staff was great especially at the deli but As we lined up to pay we notice the cashier Susan was so nice UNTIL she attended us. We felt very discriminated by the looks and attitude. Very disappointed.

The service center offer a west union service. Comes with friend because he needs my help to understand the questions they asked. He wasn't born at America very poor English. But when I trying to help him understanding the questions the man probably the manager stop me again and again. Well he was absolutely knew why I'm helping him. But he stop me and asked so many questions than other place. Very mean !! Absolutely bad attitude. Feels like foolish us! Drive me angry! It was never happened before at any of the other place. So if you guys needs any help or questions never come to this place! The manager won't help. The others was friendly ! Specially the employees at the fried chicken area! Only the manager! Never go return any thing neither! He will treat you like enemies! Not kidding happened to me once!

We live in Portland and are at the coast at our beach house and we come here often. They changed management this last Summer and now the produce section has dramatically improved. I agree with other comments that say the store feels very basic and not the aesthetic that we may be used to at nicer stores in our home town. So it goes; this isn't Lake Oswego. However, the prices are great, there's never a line, parking is plentiful, checkers and staff are very helpful and kind. AND they have Kettle Chips!

After a lot of eating out on the way up to Lincoln City, we just didn't feel like going to another restaurant when we got here so I headed out to find a grocery store to purchase some deli meats, bread, etc. so we could a simple dinner. I stumbled upon McKay's Market and decided to go here out of laziness of not wanting to drive around for 25 minutes looking for a grocery store. There was ample parking which is always helpful, but the store itself wasn't really all that impressive. Yes, it had groceries and first-world-problem me was bothered by the fact that there weren't any pleasing aesthetics to the store. It was a bit disorganized compared to other grocery stores and didn't feel squeaky clean. Options are limited due to the size of the store. That's okay though, I wasn't expecting it to be a Safeway.Unlike everyone else, I thought it was pricier than other grocery stores, but I still got everything I was looking for, I did not experience rude service but rather enjoyed the cashier checking me out. All in all, it was okay.

Close to our beach house and had everything that was needed. I thought that the prices were good. I do all the food shopping and they were on par with Vons and the such. Gus was such a nice guy who works there and talked to my wife and I about some good local places. Hope his knee surgery went well! Will be back when back in town!

Older lady was rude. I politely ask if she was still open while she was ringing a guy out. I didn't want to just jump in line if she was going to close. But when I ask she just look up and freakin glared at me and my wife. So we went back into the longer line. We ask each other what we did wrong. Than she proceeds to purposely called over the people behind us and started ringing them out. While at the same time talking crap about me and my wife. The only thing my wife and I said " wow... how rude." Ive been finding myself not shopping there as much any more.
