“Okay, to be honest, I've have seen nicer places than Madras, but the motel is great. Very kind owners, I got a free upgrade for the room, the room has a huge TV, is very clean and has no smell like other places. The wifi is fast and the breakfast American. And for me most important: it is quiet in the room, although close to the main road. I am very sad that because of bad weather it was not possible to play golf with Clifford. I would love to take his money. ;-)”

“Highlights: location, super nice staff, quiet and a nice single room. No weirdos either, very chill spot.

Not so hot: communication protocol between management/front desk and support staff with regard to multi day customers. I returned from errands in town and visiting with my aunt to find all of my equipment, including my food for the evening (which due to its needing to be refrigerated was ruined); a seven thousand dollar touring bicycle; the bike bags and several thousand dollars worth additionally of personal equipment (which includes an item, registered to my name; and which carries extremely serious legal, moral and personal responsibility), PUT OUT ONTO THE FRONT LANDING. So incredibly fortunate nothing was stolen, especially the aforementioned equipment bearing serious responsibilities; as this would have necessitated serious and major moves involving both law enforcement and the courts, in re: neglect of the reasonable duty of care toward, and the negligent, reckless physical, personal and legal endangerment of a paying customer (invitee).

I do not want anything like this to happen here, period. Staff works so hard to keep the place going as is; I love the little town of Madras dearly -- and as such, properly communicating the presence and duration of longer stays to site staff is absolutely vital.”
