Great little shop with excellent selection and thoughtful staff. Has obviously been unfairly review-bombed.

Visited Manzanita and had to go inside one of my favorite toy stores, Toylandia. Mostly because the owner always keeps a good supply of Bruder toys. However there are many things to entertain and play with in the store, plus they have marbles. I know the game is passe these days, but there was a time in North America when that game was widely popular. As evidence, my great uncle gave me his "sack of marbles" that he built up from playing as a kid, including his favorite "shooter." While I was looking at a few nice little marbles, the owner let me have a couple for regaling her with a marbles story, that I won't tell here... lol.

Love this store. My loves going here every time we visit and the staff are great! Just another great stop in a great beach village.

We’ve stopped by here for a few years, the prices have always been very high and they’ve always been a little uptight about touching toys etc…. But now she demands that people force their kids two and up wear a mask. The mask mandates ended months ago. She was extremely rude to my three and six year old. Sadly, it seems the pandemic has taken a toll on her mental health.

The owner of Toylandia also owns the candy shop next door. She has always been nice. The kids who run the candy store are great!Current mask policy is ridiculous. The overbearing old witch employee in Toylandia (karen) who marches around the store policing the few customers reminding them to NOT "try out" or "open & inspect" "please don't play with the already overpriced toys just to much. There hasn't been a time when KAREN didn't have something to say to engage me in a negative way... "don't open that" "your mask isn't covering your nose" "don't come in, we are at max occupacy"I will not spend another dollar in either of her stores as long as the (karen) is still employed

Summer of 2022 and still requiring masks. Too bad as the store doesn't seem to bad but the worker was also a total b**** to our kids as well (even with our muzzles on). By the way we held our noses and didn't say squat about the muzzles so don't even go there. To the owner, you need to hire staff that actually likes kids, especially when we are there are tend to spoil them while on vacation. Might be a city law but anyway you slice it, bad experience and I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Extremely rude, not the right people to be running a toy store. Ruined the experience, and the prices are outlandish.

Tourist from Minnesota here………parents- just stay away. There are too many other fun little toy stores in all the cute towns along the Oregon coast. I don’t think the employee working likes kids. Or customers. I wasn’t going to leave a review but I read the others and wanted to confirm. Very rude staff. I talked my youngest out of making his purchase and we just left.

Stopped in with my two older kiddos to pickup some rainy day toys. The staff person was pleasant and the selection was very impressive! Personally very much appreciate that masks are still required - we have high-risk folks in our family and wouldn’t be able to shop here otherwise. Will be back!

This shop has toys for all ages-they carry lots of toys for children and for the beach, they have plenty of puzzles (of all levels) and classical games like Yahtzee!. We appreciated having a shop to get some board games and puzzles so we could play them while enjoying the beach. The shopkeeper was so warm and nice to us here and gave us some wonderful local recommendations. We appreciated the puzzles, games and the hospitality!

This store was very clean, well run, and packed to the gills with toys. My kids (ages 2 and 5) loved it! They walked in with their masks, got their hand sanitizer, and then had a wonderful time. The woman running the store spoke kindly to them and talked to them in a way that made them feel very comfortable. Final haul had several stuffed animals, some plus plus toys and a new baby doll.(This review was obviously written during the Covid-19 pandemic just after the peak of omicron variant)

This store was absolutely lovely, and the salesperson was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I took my niece and nephew to pick out birthday gifts, and they both easily found items they really loved. I found the prices to be reasonable, and in line with what you’d find elsewhere. Would recommend!

We love this toy store! They have an amazing selection that is constantly being updated. We spend a lot of time looking around and always find new special treasures. It’s a wonderful toy store, their items are always current with my kids and their is a lot of variety; adorable stuffies, puzzles, art supplies, board games, books, baby stuff, etc

Wow. Like so many other comments, I was shocked by the rudeness we were "greeted" with before even entering the store. COVID has been difficult for many, and while some small businesses like this have adopted stricter policies then others, it never is ok to directly shame or turn away small children to their faces like we were today. Both by the OWNER which is mind blowing to me and her disgruntled employee. How does someone like her run a toy store? Let alone set such insane, strict covid rules for such small children trying to shop for toys on a beach trip? It honestly was so disturbing and sick I still am in shock. DEFINITELY recommend spending your money elsewhere.
