This store is lovely. Well-stocked, with knowledgeable staff and loads of inspirational samples. I appreciate that there are also supplies for other forms of needlework, too.

I love it here. This place is amazing. I brought in my singer 401A vintage sewing machine. I was really worried as I bought it on Etsy and it stopped working at my class that I was taking with my sewing teacher. After talking to Jack, I was reassured that if it didn't work, I would be able to buy another one there for pretty cheap or they would get it fixed and they did and they fixed it under the price that I was quoted. I couldn't be happier. Also, they are now having some sewing classes which I'm thrilled about because I'm a beginner and wanted to sew really bad and I had to work really hard to find a lady who would teach me with private lessons. But now I'm able to supplement my sewing with the class that they are offering at Boersma!!!This is a big deal to me and I'm excited because I've never had the opportunity to really sew and learn to sew well. They also offer a quilting class and I'm going to take that as well. I'm not sure if the class I'm getting is a combined sewing and quilting, but I will definitely be doing the quilting as I've saved up a bunch of beautiful vintage and antique sheets that I will use for my quilts. I'm posting this review so people will definitely go to Boersma's not that they need any business because they have been thriving since 1935 and they are busy every time I come in but also because they're offering the classes and the quilting class so this way ladies will know about it and sign up. You do have to sign up online but it's really easy and from what I found it's one day a month so I'm signed up for September and October and it will really help my private lessons as well.

I opened the door to this shop and was immediately happy. The place is packed with beautiful fabrics of all colors, patterns, designers, etc. There are also lots of hanging quilt samples. There's so much to look at.The staff was very helpful. An added bonus is the downstairs basement where there are discounted fabric, patterns and notions.

This is one of my favorite quilt shops. Exceptional fabric, pattern, and notions selections, friendly and helpful service people, and an epic sale room. I've had a desktop machine serviced, bought fabric and patterns, notions and even vacuum bags here. Recently--after years of internal and external debate--I was finally able to buy a longarm quilting machine and chose this dealer for a multitude of reasons: expertise, service, congeniality, and excellent value. I hemmed (no pun intended) and hawed about this decision to buy such a large and expensive item, and in the end this turned out to be the very best place to buy one for all those reasons and more. Very highly recommended whatever your level of interest in the quilting arts.

I was just quoted $500 - $600 to repair a cracked plastic gear in an ElNita sewing machine, and adjust the tensioning. $399 for labor plus $100 - $200 in parts. Crazy

Jack was willing to find the right color thread for me since I live too far away to personally shop at this location. Their service is excellent. Will be my first place to shop on line when I need parts for my machine.

It was easy to find their site and had no problem maneuvering around it. The only problem I had was deciding what to put into my cart! I received a phone call from a very nice man that was putting my order together. He told me when my order will be delivered. He mentioned the many things his store has for Quilting and for Longarm Quilting Machines. It is so nice to deal with a business that has such great Customer Service. I will continue ordering from this site. Thank you so much for making the ordering process so pleasant.N OwensHenderson NV

What a great find! This shop is staffed by warm, helpful people who know and understand quilters and other sewists. I wandered into the store looking for a specific themed fabric and found a treasure trove of patterns, fabrics and notions! Not only was my visit productive, it was great fun working with the ladies at the counter. And their discount fabrics? Terrific too. I highly recommend Boersma’s.
